RE: 26mm motor for 60mm EDF?

My build thread is located here

If you got your kit from Hobbyking make sure it has the rotor shaft adapters some kits did not include them. You are suppose to get a 3mm and 3.17mm rotor adapter...

RE: 26mm motor for 60mm EDF?

Those 60mm fan units are the same as the one I sell and they are pretty good actually. You only want to use the 5 blade rotor, not the 3 blade rotor. To make that F14 fly reasonably well you would...

RE: 26mm motor for 60mm EDF?

Which 60mm fan unit do you have? All the EDF motors I sell fit the 60mm fan units I know of.

RE: NITROMODELS REPLACEMENT PARTS REQUEST_Post Here

I have sent emails, done live chat, posted here, sent a PM, and even called for a replacement fuselage and canopy and I still can not get a price from anyone. Been waiting almost two weeks for a...

RE: NITROMODELS REPLACEMENT PARTS REQUEST_Post Here

I need a new fuselage and canopy for my Trojan. Had an accident and stalled at a low altitude.

RE: E-Flite F-15 Eagle

The reason I recommend 3 blades on the Wicked motors is based on testing I did. I found on the Wicked 4800 on 3 blade rotor on 3S lipo was about 32-33 amps and made about 26 oz thrust. When I...

RE: E-Flite F-15 Eagle

Charlie,

On the SF fan I would not use the Wicked 5400, too many amps, that motor is suited more for smaller fans that need the higher rpm. The Wicked 4000 on 4S and 3 bladed SF fan is about...

RE: New Motor and Fan Unit for Hobby Lobby F/A-18

You can also use the stock fan unit as well. Unfortunately more speed and thrust requires more watts to do it as well :)

RE: E-Flite F-15 Eagle

The Eflite F-15 is a big airframe. To get 100 mph will require 1000 watts or so. I have not measured the outlet area on the F-15 but in general on my EDF models I use an 80-85% FSA nozzle. This...

RE: EDF's off grass runways?

John,

Sorry for the delay in my reply, been out of town the past several days with the family. All the EDFs I fly are hand launched models. If you want to go that route I can help. Any of the...

RE: Great Planes L-39

The stock motor will roast on 4S. Some guys got a few flights like that but they will eventually burn up. This plane really lights up on 4S though. For me the Wicked 4000 on 4S in the stock fan was...

RE: Great Planes L-39

I have not broken a servo yet and I have no servo arm covers and I am flying a 4S 2250 lipo as well. You will like the stock fan on 3S with the Extreme, just make sure you have no wobble from the...

RE: Great Planes L-39

Reduce the up elevator throw as it sounds like your getting a high speed stall. I fly on duals rate on the elevator as I need more up for landing but it is way too much for 100 mph flying.

RE: Great Planes L-39

I fly mine nose heavy all the time, especially on 4S. In fact when going faster I prefer nose heavy as they track better. You just need to hold a little more up on landing that is all.

RE: Great Planes L-39

I used the 4000 as the stock fan is a 5 blade fan and has fairy high pitch so it needs some power (more trhan the XF fan). The 4000 in the Hyperflow fan is about 450 watts on 4S. The 4800 in that fan...

RE: GAUI TigerShark Delta maiden

Kevin,

RE: Great Planes L-39

I got some video of my L-39 yesterday. I first flew on a Wicked 5400 on 3S in the stock fan, then went to the Wicked 4000 on 4S inthe stock fan. I like that setup better.
