I've ordered the Hatori 698 pipe from IH. Not got it yet, they were out of stock. It will be hanging outside, so as 3drcheli says, if it was the carbon one and if anything goes wrong, bye bye pipe.[]

Of course if you want to swap when I get mine, I'll give it consideration

If it all went wrong [:@]

I would rather not have the pipe inside. Blimey the mess.

Sprink what do you think would go wrong?? Short of the pipe falling off ?

Been busy today finished my "Boys little toy" and built a funfly wing for my 50. Its my first FF wing

Think he means if he breaks the u/c off as per his c50 all the weight will land on the exhaust outlet. With an alloy pipe the exhaust might bend back, whereas the carbon might shatter along the whole length.

Yup.

No intention of crashing or ripping the u/c off like I have with my C50, but you never know [:@]. I do have a reputation to maintain afterall

Yeah Sprink but this time your Glue is better, your wheels are a good 20mm bigger, and the financial investment will somehow cause smoother landings !!

The financial investment in brown trousers may also need to be included in our budgets for test flights and harrier landings

perhaps a pair should come included with the deluxe kit?

I put a bulk order in for those new Huggies Pull ups. Want to try one?

Luke I imagine it will be like the C50, and will be very easy to fly and soon you'll forget about the money and will be torque rolling over the strip (I know I will once I know how to torque roll )

yeah i'm relishing it
if it flies anything like billy bunter's high society then this picture wont do my smile justice, because i reckon that high society would carve through both freestyle comp routines like a razor through butter.

Expect GREAT THINGS boys !

The C50 is pretty amazing and pretty easy to make it do some impressive moves.... the 140ex is a DODDLE !

You didnt actually think Ali won the Freestyle did you !? Oh no - that was entirely down the model...!! Ali was looking the other way didnt you notice !

I did a parachute landing with the model Ali now flies this time last year in Sittingbourne...About a force 4.... started about 500ft up and it took AGES to come down with the engine gently and quitely plopping away on idle.... left it right to the bottom for a tiny blip of power to make it move forward and she settled onto the grass a treat.

Same day Malc wanted a low slow knife edge shot. Well he got fed up of waiting for the model to reach him it was going do slow and at a good 45-50 degree high alpha k/e it lulled forward at a snails pace just a couple of feet off the deck.... Malc couldnt get the lens wide angle enough and as terrific shot as it was the wings, and back end where chopped off ! He reckoned he could have reached out and grabbed it..

Its an absolute PUPPY.... Oh, and Malc says he's gonna be upset with any of us who come upto or over 10lbs AUW ! He reckons 9.5 with the YS set up is quite easily achieveable...

I'll try my best, but cant promise anything. As you can see I am trying to save weight where possible, and avoiding adding weight.

I will be happy with under 10lb, 9.5lb will be a party bonus

How much weight saving does the carbon cowl and canopy have over the GRP items?
Is this 9.5lb estimate with the GRP or carbon bits. Just weighed the GRP cowl and the plastic canopy. Together they weigh 1lb!

The carbon canopy is lighter for sure. Never had a carbon cowl []

My white gel coat cowl and the canopy weigh 11.1\4 ozs The carbon spats are a weighty 1.5ozs total for both

Luke. However mine are cut out already are yours?

ie holes for spinner cheeks and the big hole underneath

I am going to get a grp without gel coat so I can rub out the seem and spay with two pack. This will probably save another 2 ozs ish

Just about. Can't complete fully until the fin is in place. Also have to do the fuz part of the plug in tail, and finish the hatches.

is this plane available yet? >YES but only in UK at present. Not officially launched yet.
also, does it have any coupling in a knife edge, >No.
how much does it weigh, (without fuel) > Weight Estimate with YS 140 and pipe = 9.5lbs
and will it snap out in any occasion that i could put it through with a ys 110 on 30%? > Not likely to snap - its a ***** cat. YS 110 will power it but its designed for more - is a full 2M spec model.
is it an arf? > No. Quick assy kit.
how much does it cost and where can i get it? > Details for international buyers will come online at www.carboncopyuk.com in due course, and an announcement made in FLYCAPICHE news which you can subscribe to at www.flycapiche.co.uk
does it stall well, hover, parachute, etc.> OH YES !
is there anything else i should know before i consider buying one? > Its rated as the best combination 3D / Pattern plane by some of the UKs Top pilots and the current British Freestyle Champ. It is quite simply Les Nads du Chien.

Is it available - only to pre order customers (such as me ) Should be out properly soon though. Archie has the details

Coupling in KE - shouldn't do. If it does it will be tiny.

AUW should be about 9.5lb

You really need more than a 110, it is a 2metre job, for 140/160 engines.

Any plane will snap in certain conditions, C140 wont be different.

ARF - no this is a proper build it your self get your fingers dirty kit.

Very good for harriers parachutes etc. No need for flaperon mixing.

Only available from the UK at the moment.
