Comments from Chip Hyde on the 160 v 140:

Y.S. 140-160DZ
I never really cared to much for the Y.S. 1.40 DZ's idle charecteristics and transition, but it made some serious power and when it was right it was pretty awesome. Now take that motor add approx. 500 R.P.M smooth out the mid-range and idle and you have the 1.60. I am really pleased with the way this engine runs in all aspects, its like the 1.40 FZ was 5 years ago. If you are looking for a good powerful and reliable combo., its going to be hard to beat. I have been told they are currently making a production run of these engines so they should be hear within the next month or two.
Sounds good to me

Ahh....The 140FZ, top engine. I flew one quiet a lot in an own design pattern plane last year, set it once and that was it.

Haven't yet decided on the scheme, so I'll paint the cowl and spats when I decide.

I was thinking of repeating the scheme as on my C50, as I have enough red white and blue for it. However that is a bit boring, so now I'm thinking of something a bit more creative in yellow purple and terquoise.

Hmm decisions decisions.

Are there going to be any downloadable 3-views of the 140ex like we had for the C50? I know the front of mine will be black but i am sure its not just me who would like to be able to play around with a few crayons to get theri 140 scheme just right!

Where do you down load them from? I know that theres some in the C50 thread, but too many pages to hunt through. []

Ed, look on the galleries on the IH website for Dave's C140, I think it is his that has the raked uc.

HI

IH had the first batch of C140ex clear canopies in today... they look really good - dead smooth and clear...

I nabbed one quickly and took a photo of it... it looks even BIGGER than I remember !

HHHUUUUUGEEE !

3"

IH have Truturn, and plastic types in stock... to suit..some with Ali plates some with Plastic back plates.
All Tru Turn spinners have lightened Ali back plates

There will also be some carbon jobs available I think...
