Going to do the location for the batteries soon (flight pack), should I put them low down in the fuse, thought it might act as a keel giving extra stability in the hover, or should I out them level with the wing tube?
How come noone mention the hitec 5945's? they a bit dodgy.

Richard,
Would you not want the batteries as close to the datum line as possible. If they low down they would pull the model forward in the prop hang. Really noticeable in my Edge shockflyer if you have the battery low down.

I also have the dilema of which batteries to go with.
The kokam 3.2ah 20c pack at 825gr
Flightpower 5ah 14c pack at 1150
or TP 6ah 10c pack at 1300grm
I'm swaying on the kokam's cause of lightness.

Angus,
Sorted the Soft mount for header...
I made up a 'nose' shaped piece of ply protruding from F1 with a rubber mount onto one of the tin clips that come with the header..
The header is only supported just before the pipe, but seems fairly well held!
Looking good *3der* !!
Regards,
Steve

Looking good 3d'er. I much prefer seeing pics of planes naked, like this, before the covering goes on, it's sort of the proper building stage, rather than the dressing up bit.
One point, have a look at your rudder and elevators and rig up your rudder closed loop before you go much further. On our C140 I didn't do the closed loop till eveything was covered and fixed and then found that at full up the elevators fouled the closed loop cables so had to cut a bit off the inside\root edge of the elevators. Malc shows a cut off at the corner of the trailing edge of the elevator but the cut off's way too small. Or maybe my rudder cables came out lower down than his? Either way it would have been much easier and neater to do it at the stage you're at now rather than when it's all finished and covered when it all becomes a bit of a bodge job.
