Default Funtana prop

I keep knocking the tips off my apc 14/4 making them more like 13 1/2-4 props, so I bought an master screw 13/6 what can I expect better or worse performance?
Thanks

Dave

With 15% fuel mine likes the 13x4W APC. I have run the APC 13x6. It's a good all around prop. For instant thrust It's hard to beat the 13X4W. I fly a Funtana and a Pizzaz. The pizzaz even came to life with the 13x4W.

I used the 15x6 on my Saito 100 before I got my hands on a 15x4W. The 15x6 is a good prop.

I am also running a Saito .72. My favorite prop on it is the 14x4W. Mine just wont give good throttle response without 30%. I would like to try the 14x4W Zinger. I just have not found one. If you can get your .72 to pull the 14x4W on 15% your ahead of me.
I fly at 2,000' and maybe that's the problem.

3Ddave,

I'd say your custom 13.5x4W should work fine, as long as you rebalance it after every 'shortening event'.

If you're whacking the outside 1/4 inch off the prop tips from ground strikes, you already know, but you can get taller carbon-fiber gear that will give you a bit more prop clearance.
