I think that would only come near to 8 lb if it was all composite, but then the price would be just silly.
I know a YS 63 is miles ahead of an Irvine .53 but if I had to, how would the C90 do with one?

just cos its composite doesnt mean its light weight! if its craply made its gonan be heavy, well made with top materials itll be light as a feather. however, blasa is also light weight

Of course I meant the top-quality you wally! Personally I prefer balsa, only though because its is repairable and availble cheaply. Compared to 1/2 square metre carbon fibre for £20![X(]

sub 8Lbs with the 110 is perfectly doable
mine is 7lb 10, with the os90fx, the ys110 is almost the same weight.
when I get the chance the 110 is going in mine to replace malcs os90fx,

Hi guys I'm back. Been on holiday to California
Looking good Malc. Though it looks like the 140 in size! Must be the angle for the photo.
Yep, definately need one of these in my life

So it looks like it might actually be happening
, even if it is a limited production run.
I know that I'll be ordering one. YS 110 to power it I think

I'm fairly certain it wont be less than £200. Remember that it is a C140, but a bit smaller, little scope for savings really.
Still want one though

Your probably right, even if the kit is slightly less expensive the engine, stuff etc will be much lesss I hope so you end up with a cheaper airplane to initally buy and mebbe run to.

Certainly fitting out would be a lot cheaper:
OS 91 FX at £150 - or cheaper if going used or a cheaper make
4 Good servos at £30 each = £120
Depending on the price of the kit, you could get a decent performance for £500 - £600. For the C140, you are really looking at £1000+, though if really scrimping, I think you could get it down to £800, but then you are likely to start affecting performance.
