Well, I was mainly pointing out how you claim no wing rock... obviously its there, and alot of it, Its like saying a plane has zero rudder coupling, and you dont tell them you mixed it all out...
I agree with this statement 100%, the same would go for rudder coupling. Fortunately I saw spoilerons in the video, so I could tell my friend before he bought it.

Not trying to stir things up, just pointing out the fact that there are still some of us who do not have computer radios and would like to know what we are getting into.

I still think my friend is going to get this bird, I sure hope so, would love to fly it...

Well the test flight was a week later than expected, but well worth the wait. The Rush is a SWEET flying plane. Balanced at 135mm with the battery pack sitting just behind the wing. One or two clicks of elevator trim is all it took on the first flight. The ys 63s is still running slobbery rich, but it will hang the plane on the prop. Nice tracking in rolls. The last pattern plane I flew was a Tiporare, with a rear exhaust Rossi 61, going at MACH 2, and the rush will do a slow roll just as nice.

any suggestions on props for the YS after break in? Currently using a 13x4W APC.

Thanks....

Hi All,

I am about to mount an OS 50 on the firewall of the Freestyle Rush. I plan to use a 12.25 x 3.75 propp. What thrust angles are commonly being used for this plane for typical pattern and 3D? Also does anyone have some photos of their installation as I was supplied with the wrong manual in the box and I am not sure of servo placement. For example, although there are two servo cut outs at the back of the fuselage, the servos would hit eachother if they were installed together. Also, does the long steel cable indicate that a pull pull is used?

Anyway any help or photos of installation would be appreciated.

Cheers

Well despite not having a manual for assembly (the supplied manual was for the Cessna Skymaster) I put my Freestyle Rush together and flew today. This is a nice flyng plane! I have my CG at 110mm (4.48 inches) and was wondering if this was within the range recommended by the manufacturer? I read that someone was flying with a CG of 140mm (5.71 inches). Any suggestions?

I found that the rolls are very axial and these seemed to be plenty of power with an OS 50 with an expansion muffler (Tower 46 muffler). Knife edge seems fine and even knife edge loops but they were a bit crooked. Flat spins were possible and rolling cuban eights as well.

I'm looking forward to more flights with this one, it's fun and cheap to run.

Cheers

I need to patch my rush, anyone know the exact colors of the plane. I tried the orange, it wasn't right and the white wasn't right either. I think the orange is a fluor orange. What about the white, blue and yellow, anyone please. thanks Randy
