3D manuevers, tips, and tricks
i've looked around RCU and the 3D forum and can't find anything on this subject, i search on the internet and not much came up.... so here it is.
http://www.jerseycoastrcclub.com/jcr...what_is_3d.htm
http://www.geistware.com/rcmodeling/index.htm
http://www.3drc.info/aerobatics/freestyle/harrier.htm
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_28...tm.htm#2808695
http://www.blaineaustin.com/3d_tips.htm
those are sites w/ 3D maneuvers explained and some has video of how it is done. i have become familliar w/ all of these 3D tricks. so i was wondering if there are anymore sites like these out there that can help 3D flyers. please post any other 3D tips, trick out there.

The only one I've seen on video described as a "Heart Atack" was in an early EF 68" Yak prmo video, and it was done like a wall only down instead of up, and then recovered into a low harrier.

I believe it is being called an "anurism" now which I don't know if Chris Hinson from Extreme Flight created this maneuver, but I see him use it all the time. Basically it is the same snap you would use in a blender but on a horizontal line and not vertical. Down elevator, left aileron, right rudder. Now I know this is nit-picking, but isn't 3-D flight really supposed to be "stalled" flight instead of some of these crazy snaps? Like a knife edge spin/drop I would never classify as a 3-D maneuver. But a "death slidE" where you are getting about 45 deg attitude out of the fuse I would.
BTW- I saw Hinson do this with his 107" Yak at the XFC and I love how violent the maneuver is. It's a good maneuver to add to your list of moves. Just be sure to have a plane that can take it.

I just watched that video link you posted earlier... the "heat attack" is the quick down elevator into the stalled parachute move. VERY RISKY! And very stressfull. Clean pair of underwear required!

sorry for the delayed respond... it's crazy how you broke that down... i looked at the video over and over at the part, then try to do it myself on the sim, i think i got it to do something almost the same w/ down elevator, right ailerons, and right rudder... start out going really fast the do the snap, the Funtana on Aerofly Pro would do a snap then go out of control just like the movie.... anyway, anymore 3D manuvers? i'm iching to learn more

My Heart ATTACK landing is a high speed roll on a steep downline where you pull the plane into an elevator right at the last second and land it that way. (others have called it a nice save)

The tumble I know is were you are on a vertical up-line then cut the throttle, full down elevator on 3D rates. The airplane will go into an outside loop. The second it reaches the inverted harrier then go WOT and the plane will go into another outside loop but it will loop REALLY fast and tight. Carefull though this causes negative G's.
