If you are looking for a 3d style trainer that is rediculously stable in all aspects of 3d then you really can't beat the performance of the 47" OMP Edge 540. Yes it's a profile but I guarantee you there is no comparison to fatties this size. Rocket performance on any good .46 bb engine. I've had three GMS .47s now and have been very happy with them.

actually the airplane is good at 3d it has massive surfaces alot of wing area its light but it is short coupled. i have a couple friends with them and they love them, but for the motor xoon has he should get a NOT FOR SALE 60 insane plane for around $75 thats with the wood and plans not radio gear/motor, but you do need to scratch the kit and build it, so its not instant gratification, but for the money i think its worth it. JM2C Im building a 40 with a K&B 45.

the S3010 cost a bit too much for me...[] and as for the NOT FOR SALE 60, it's a it and i don't really want a kit. but i would like to build it during my free time.. where can i get the plan for it? and for servos... i'm lookin deeply into the bluebird high torque metal gear servos. can anybody here tell me how'd they perform?

3dman523 your kidding aren't you a GP Cessna 182? Thats just not right! As for the not for sale plans i can only find the 40's plans which are at this address [link]http://www.rcstore.com/rs/general/detail.asp?catnum=fsp05931&catego=PL[/link] but im trying to figure out where you can get not for sale 60 plans. As for my 40 not for sale im also building bigger surfaces, and building it a little different with a built up stick structure behind the wing on the fuse, no sheeting.

not that I am trying to bash anybody's ideas or likes, but wouldnt you want to fly something that looks maybe even a tad graceful in the air? I mean, I understand that sometimes function outweighs looks, but come on...

Xoon, here's a servo. I don't know if it's big enough, but it's ball bearing. What do you think?

xoon, I have been flying a F40 for 2 years and doing high G manuevers along with 3D, I have Futaba 3004's all around 12 bucks a piece, they have been just fine, you can even ask woops about this, he has seen the stuff I do with it.

I'll vouch for that, but Wryman, Xoon has a G90 not an O.S. .61. I will have to admit that some of the stuff you do will surpass some of the stress that a .90 will put on it.

that Tower servo is $28... the bluebird servo that has metal gear and hi torque is $22. in this case i don't know how both of these brand perform, but i will be likely the hitec 475 or the bluebird because they are cheap. as for flying the F40 two years... that was wrong... i flew the F40 4 times before it hits the ground because of radio OR machanical problem. the reason i'm going w/ the harrier 90 is because that F40 doesn't look like it can take the full speed off the Super Tiger 90. as for the Harrier 90 it is designed for a 90 engine. so if i go fast and rip the plane apart w/ the 90 engine i will get a new one! ... what do you guys think of the harrier 90 as my choice? and servos selections... i still need help on that... cheap servos but hi torque and good too. high speed would be good too around 60*/.15 sec. i still need help so please offer any advice that u have. thanks for the comments

What, 343oz.-in. at 6 volts isn't enough? The Harrier isn't the best looking plane and is very hard to see in the air. (which way's up) Check out this plane.

It might work for you. If not, you should get the harrier and add some covering to it to add visibility.

the NOT FOR SALE is gonna be a project that's gonna keep my busy after i get the harrier 90. can you reduce the size down to like a .30 size plane? so that i can power it with standard servos and a .46 engine? please email me... i'm very interested in this plan. as for the Harrier 90 visibility in the air, i will recover the bottom w/ white and have large red strips running parallel to the fuse. the tower servos is too much for me...i got to buy at least 4 and that's a lot of $$$

I did email you and the link i provided in this thread is the link for the 32-46 size not for sale and it was designed before micro servos were even popular so its designed for standard servos.

motodude11, The not for sale isn't a 3D plane. In fact it is far from it and can be very unstable. It's almost a flying wing. Balancing is very important and that sometimes doesn't work. Try landing one in a 5MPH wind.

I have and the plane flys extremely well i told you i have friends with them, n its rare to get a day where its not windy where i am. they are extremely easy too fly and extremely fun to fly sliding and just goofing around, Its an awesome plane and capable of doing most of the 3d manuvers even though it is a "FUN FLY" design but if the pilot knows how to do 3d it will do it. By the way wopps have you ever flown one??? Just curious. Plus im welcome to my opinion thats all were here for anyways is to give each other advice and share our opinions. By the way i've landed a sig fazer, NOTFORSALE 40, aerowork edge 540, gb extra 300, sig cap 231, lanier stingers 40 and 60 sizes, lanier lazer, gp giles 202 (the arf), cloud dancer and all the planes in the my model thing (that are done or were done) on here in any where from 5-25mph winds. (if your wondering how i've flown so many airplanes its because i have flown every plane my dad and grandfather own plus my own aircraft of my fleet)
