There are blind nuts in the tail to hold the horizontal stab halves in place.
Four on each side, 2 on top, 2 on bottom, they take 3x10mm machine screws.
It's shown on page 9 of the manual.
Then you glue the stabs in place, but I'd bet you could forget the epoxy and just bolt them on.

Dick, mine does not have blind nuts either and page 9 shows putting the tail with 3x10 screws but says nothing about blind nuts. There is no real way to access that area to add them either as it is blocked off from the servo opening.
Have you actually installed yours with blind nuts?

If you can find room, have at it!
That would minimize the added tail weight I needed when using the engine I chose.
Lighter engines would not need that modification.

Does Seagull Models have a different fuel tank stopper for gas and glow? The Dubro tanks do!
Here you see two Seagull tank stoppers, seven days ago the one on the left was the same size as the one on the right.
I placed the left one in a small amount of gas and after a week the gas turned black and the stopper got three times bigger.

woah[X(] im surprised you pulled that stopper out of the tank without splitting the tank
! that is huge, try using a Dewey Broberg Stopper (Du-Bro for those of you who don't know) they work great on all tanks.

lol,
I dont have a DA50 and besides I have to review the EVO45 as well, so I am doing it as a combo review. I know there are reports that the Evo wont outperform the DA50, but I am getting reports that it will turn a 23x8 at 7500+rpm's. It will be interesting to find out..
Let me just tell you this.. If you want to use a DA50, do it with confidence. The DA50 is a proven performer on a plane this size.. You cannot go wrong. The jury may be out on the plane, but there is no doubt abuot the DA50.
Speaking of,, UPS just delievered the Bling and the Evo45 as I type.

My EVO 45 and Evolution Pitts muffler turns an APC 22-8 at 7200 RPM.
Maybe 7500 RPM on a pipe, but not with a muffler.
In any event, that engine pulls my H9 CAP232G vertical and will hover at less than 2/3 throttle, and will pull out nicely straight up.
That is a 16.5 pound plane. Imagine what it'll do on this 14.5 pound BLING!
BTW, I'm taking the Seagull tank out and replacing it with a proven DuBro one with a gas stopper.
I don't need a swollen stopper leaking all over the place.
I'll be test flying my BLING this weekend. Look for a full report in an upcoming issue of R/C REPORT Magazine

Pettit,
What size dubro tank are you going to be using. I think the one from Seagull is around 24oz. Is that the size dubro you are going to be using. I to want to change the tanks becasue I don't want gas running around on the inside of the plane if the stopper from seagull is no good.
I am going to be using a Brillelli 366GT and I want to use a least a 20oz tank.

its even weird that since this plane was designed for gas, seagull mentions to use silicone tubing! this is what is weird with foreign company planes, that going with what i said earlier about the manual and instructions.
