and them all with my youngest daughter.

The first is the ucando, the second it the edge 540 (seagull) and the middle one is the Kangke Cap 232 1/4 scale. I did not get the 40 size cap in due to it charging, but it is the smallest of the bunch!

Also, anyone have any idea why my throttle servos are dying.

Which ones are you using?[:-]

I am using a S3003 on the throttle, and i have 6V battery to get more power out of the 3004 on my rudder. I may just get a high torque for my rudder and go back to a 4.8 battery.

RE: U-Can-Do 3d 46?

:)I don't think you should be using 6 volt on that servo. That may be part of the problem.
Thanks,
Barry

They are rated for 6v on the futaba site, i may just give them a call and see what they say.

RE: U-Can-Do 3d 46?

You guys will think I am crazy, but I have a 6 V system and I have that servo on my rudder. Never a problem. I have a really long throw arm on it and it holds like a mule.

I have to say,

I just came back from the airfield. I am back in love with my U-Can-Do. My boss wanted to see the plane fly, so with the new motor (Magnum .91) We decided to take lunch and run out. Winds from the south at 14 mph. This is the motor I had in the P-40, so it had not been run since the crash. Started up first thing, was like nothing had happened.
Taxi out, advance the throttle and the plane jumps back into the air. I had to keep the motor at about half throttle and backed it off of that a lot. Ton of motor for this plane. I knew I was in love when I pulled up, hovered and torque rolled for 3 revolutions. Seeing how this is approximately my 23rd flight in 25 years, I was pretty pumped. Having that mix of motor and plane makes all the difference. :D

For those running the OS or Magnum .91, what prop are you using? I had my three blade from the p-40 on just for giggles and that needs to change, I am going to buy some props, but I need to see what size and pitch is giving the ultimate thrust.

Thanks guys.

Tom

Barry, thats a great looking field. Nice pics of the planes too, looks like it was a fun time. How is it that we get all this wind down here, but it never makes it to the potato plains of Idaho? Boggles the mind.

sctcrash, I like the one of the blazing UCDo. Could you make that into a decal? I would buy one if you could...........[X(]

You could use a Hitec HS 81 or 85. They are smaller and lighter than the standard Futabas and work well for a throttle servo. I think the one I have as a throttle servo is the 85...[8D]

:)Liberator, believe me we get PLENTY of wind. In fact I've just learned to fly in it. I think we do have a pretty nice field though. We enjoy it. Do you ever get up this way? If so we could fly together.
Thanks,
BArry

I run 3004 on all but the rudder at 6v and never a problem. Could be the end points are not set right or the throttle is binding.
