My guess is that he or she was just trying to be helpful, and thought that they were doing the right thing. The details of a members "account" with AMA should never be changed, though, without direct authorization of the member. I hope that he/she doesn't get into trouble over this, beyond being made aware that the actions jumped the gun a bit.
And that is exactly why I specifically said, "Let him do it himself". Sick, having made such an issue out of it, I wanted to know if he had followed through or was he just blowing smoke.

If it is any of your business (and it is not) I have other things that are far more important to me than dealing with the issue of getting Model Aviation Magazine, or not.

Who would have ever guessed that from your ranting here about the magazine?

Again it is my business, and I don't need or want you putting your nose into it. As I told you earlier, I have made the AMA aware of your and Jo Ellen Eppards' activities. You both can deal with whomever you have to concerning that. You do not hold a power of attorney from me to conduct any business on my belalf. Do you understand me?

Maybe the bottom feeders do, but I sure don't.

Once and for all. Just because you wanted to know, did not make it any concern of yours. You and Jo Ellen way overstepped your bounds. Now you will both have to answer for it, and sadly, she will probably pay the higher price.

Will do. As I said, this has all been reported to the AMA, and I have received an apology from Jo Ellen Eppards. Sorry is not going to cut it now.

I challenge you to show me where Bill has made 350 posts here about this. As usual, you can't tell the truth even if it would serve your best interests.

Ron
Challenge accepted! The statement reads, "yet he has time to add to 350 posts

You buy them books, teach them to read . . . . and they still chew on the covers!
Well, maybe it should have read;"yet he has time to add to 350 other posts in the "Still a Bottom Feeder" thread on RCU" in an effort to be more clear.

Bill,

I hope that for Jo Ellen, her apology was sufficient. Unless you have reason to believe otherwise this appears to be a situation of an eager to help staff person getting caught up in something that has become very personal between you and Red. I'd let that part of it go, if it was my decision to make.

Red

your use of sick instead of Stick is very telling of your personality and disregard of his person.

Red,

Stick gave you good advice earlier on and it went a long ways to allow some consideration but you have now ruined it with your incessant meddling and personal attacks.

Stick,
I agree with Bob. After all, she did apologize. Red could learn much from that but my bet is he will not.

It is truly unfortunate that Red's actions continue to have negative effects on so many.

Hopefully people will learn to distance themselves from Red and reject his carte blanche in the future.

Bill, the hierarchy is simply using that apology to patronize you.

Here is another example of how Red red can operate. In a post, this thread, about 322 or so, I gave a little cushion for red's behavior. I also added my receipt for my Bottom Feeders tags.
Then I received a direct email from red saying, in paraphrase, that he did not consider me to be a bottom feeder. Along with the post where he considered me to be the epitome of model aviation, I gathered red was trying to kind of make up for last Fall's massive attack against my candidacy for EVP. I advised him that we had nothing to discuss, however a little more direct than permitted here. [>:]

Well, after my reply, I received another direct attack from mister Red red. It ended with "Adios, you poor pathetic twit! RS."

'Nuff said!

I for one am dissappointed in the activities since this matter was resolved. How have these communications and their negative impact with the AMA staff effected our ability to get straight answers to future inquiries?

I feel a memo to staffers coming down from the top at Headquarters. [:@]

Ok. here we have a staffer. We don't know her tenure or level of experience. She gets an email from a district AVP and an author for MA. She could very well have assumed (there is her error) that he was acting on behalf of and with permission from Stickbuilder.

Stick: Swap you that coffee and donut for a pass for Ms. Eppards?

Any such memo should make certain no staff person offers or accomplishes anything effecting another AMA member's personal business, at the request of a different member. Sad that such a memo is needed, but when someone jumps through hoops to do damage or whatever to any AMA member, at the request of another AMA member, then the in-office training and supervisory personnel all sorely need such memo.

That point of effecting another member has NOT ONE THING to do with getting a straight answer. When the staffer said the question-item could be done, the STRAIGHT answer would simply have been, "You can request for Mr. Hurt to call me."

Simple enough.

Now comes a time when one of the ama bigshots ought to step up an offer an apology to Bill for the way red has acted, since he seems to be some sort of important person in their food chain.

Probably true but I will give the benefit of doubt...especially when it comes to someone's livelihood.

It is not hard to believe the overbearing intimidation that Red could have installed over the years to staffers. It may take a new awareness for it to diminish that only a good swift kick to Red's arse would accomplish.

Red's actions are certainly more wrong than the mowing SK was removed for.

Red certainly could care less how his actions might affect his targets livelihood when his crap makes it to another's employer as it did with me.

I am in no way saying MS. Eppards didn't err. I wouldn't go so far as to confuse correct answer with straight answer though. She probably had no idea as to the questioners motives.

I have had a conversation with Dave Mathewson. He has already asked that Shawn Grubbs research the chain of events. I specifically told Dave that I had no axe to grind with Jo Ellen. Hopefully this will culminate with a memo to all staffers regarding discussion of a third party with another member. This is as it should be. I'd not be in favor of her being reprimanded for this, but would be in favor of Red Scholefield being censured for his actions. I'm embarassed to have to admit that he is in the same AMA District as me, but I'd not wish him off on anyone else.

Gee, I didn't realize my massive attack caused a nearly 2:1 defeat. Strange, but I have not received a Service Award for it yet.

You know this is an out and out lie! - I have no idea of who your employer is. I challenge you to prove this claim. Now if your employer happens to be visit RCU and reads what has been posted there - tough - not my problem if he doesn't know you well enough to draw his own conclusions.

Small point but just to keep the record straight; Although Red made a post in this forum that strongly implied he is an AVP, he is in fact not an AVP nor has he ever been an AVP.

I made the same mistake on another message board. Someone there (not Red) took me to task for "accusing" him of being an AVP.

I got a little chuckle out of that one.

Does anyone know exactly where the SEFF is going to be held. I know it's the week before Top Gun, but does anyone know the exact dates? I've decided that I might as well go get a handfull of the electric thing, that way I'll know for sure if I want to get involved with the little peckers or not. Shucks I might even run into an old Pal or two up there in Georgia. You never know when you'll get lucky.

Help a Brother out a little here. I promise to send pics of the knuckles.
