LOL Dave. That was a good one. Glad you guys fared well in the wind with no serious problems. Joe, great pics. Love the paint job. I'm knee deep in wooden sticks all over the place. Overwhelmed to say the least. I guess it's just one stick at a time. to the bitter end. Arrgh!

I have just been doing other stuff lately ...You know the story Not enough time in the day to do all the thing I need or want to do ....The guy that went in likes to fly his plane like he stoled it ...and that not a bad thing ....when it went in all we could say was, WOW!!! ...I must say that was one of the best/worst wrecks I've seen yet ...He is a good sport and took the loss of his plane well...

As far as the Funtana 90 ...Well I built it very strong and used my high torque high speed digital servos on it ..YS110 with a 16x4w prop True turn wide chord spinner all the good stuff....everything trimmed perfect ...Rolled out ,took of ,went straight up ,went to roll right and lost it ..I don't know if it was a radio hit or a wing failed but it went in HARD ....So I ran down and ordered another one the same day...To answer you'r question it flew great for the 5-7 seconds I had control of it ...hahahaha....see the pics...JW

David,
We are still trying to get our house dried in!! We put four rolls of roofing felt on yesterday and took a tree down that was up against our screen porch. We have not seen an insurance adjustor yet and we can't find out when we will. Problem here is everyone has so much to do that one can't find anyone to give estimates or help. Wifey and I are so tired everynight we just drop. It's O.K. though as it could have been worse and we are still here to complain about this.

If someone will tell me how to post my digital pics to the thread I will do so.

Stoney, man, as good as you sound it still sounds just terrible. How did Ft Myers fair? Was the damage as bad there as well? I bet Sanibel is just a mess. My Dad built the bridges that connet Sanibel to Ft Myers many years ago. Hope you can get things back to normal soon. Felt on a roof? Doesn't sound good.

David, awesome pics. I'm still here and checking in from time to time. Still buried in sticks and trying to make some sense out of the Cub kit. My first few cuts were errors in getting the hang of the directions. Dotted lines here, solid lines there and just figured out what a gusset is? The learning process is going to take a while, but I'm getting the hang of it.

Greetings friends!

I am catching this thread with half my eyes open from lack of sleep and im late to work so ill try to answer proplery

As far as pics are concerened Dave is correct, download them from your camera, CD or wherever and load them onto your PC somewhere accesible. i.e My Pictures, My Documents, etc. Once loaded you have to choose the REPLY button on the thread and the reply dialogue box will appear, type your reply and towards the bottom left of the reply box you will see a link that sais Attach Images, click that and it will allow you to upload pics from your PC. Choose your pics (up to 4) and hit OK. Once loaded it will take you back to the Reply box wherere you can hit OK again. WALA!! your done!

let me know if my crappy directions help.

Nice pics Dave!! Thanks for sharing

Flew the UCANDO yesterday, getting more bugs worked out, getting more fun now.

A guy shows up with a UCANDO yesterday. I look under the hood and am startled to find out he has a Saito 180 for power!! HOLY COW!!! Needless to say he had so much power it was sick! Hovers were a no brainer and vertical was scary.

Stoney- check your mail in a few days, I have a late package on its way out to you

Hello Roger and Joe

Matt,
Thanks for the tip. I have tries this several times without success. One more try with only one pic as the files are too large. This is the South side of our home. The carrotwood tree uprooted and went through our screen room roof. Both trees were removed yesterday and the wet insulation over our master bedroom was also removed. The drywall comes out today. With any luck we will have a new roof in two weeks. How does $12,700.00 for a roof sound?? Could have bought 3 TOC airplanes for that. Just think after we get this stuff done maybe I can fly my UCD!!

Roger,

Nice to hear from you. C'mon down here, we have plenty of sticks to put together. No glue just a hammer, screwgun, nails and screws.

Has anyone heard from Joe?? Brian....

Hello everyone. David, I wish that were true, its actually by the case. Unfortunatly, I'm only on my fourth gallon in two months. Work and weather prevails. Still, very happy when I can get the power monger out and about.

Brian, good to see that you are still around to talk about it. The way you guys are gobbling up the building materials is creating a serious crunch around the nation. Didn't take long for the price jump. Hang in there.

Roger, I'm with you on that. The only difference is that my current project has my shop scattered with foam. I can't build just a foamy. I'm doing hollow airfoils, swept and tapered with hollow, box construction fuzes. Interesting.

Matt, the strange part is about the fun your having is that it only gets better. Once dialed in, the UCD is a joy to fly and experiment with. You can do things that don't have names yet.

I wonder if Autoguns has purchased every plane on the market yet. Later, Joe

He you guys. Sticks are coming together slowly, but the pile of wood now has a slight dent in the volume. Still a long way to go, but getting there. This is a great lesson in patience.

Joe, looks like all you have to do is power up and add electronics. I bet that thing will be fun to mess around with.

Weather permitting I think I will take the Pitts out tomorrow. Rain, wind and more rain - has not been all that great for flying, but great building weather. Worked with students yesterday and got to fly myself a little on Sat.

Dave, thanks for letting us know about the B-52. I just saw the video and it's just awful. Man I hate to see this beauty go in like that. What a terrible loss. Glad he didn't hit the farm house. Dave, did you actually see it happen?

Roger..Et Al ..

No, didnt actually SEE the thing crash [:@]...we saw it fly Sat ...crashed sunday.. at the time and without even giving this a second thought, i remember Peter saying to me something like "Dad! Dad! look at the B-52 ...He's realy going for it..!".. Hmmm..

We've been up to the field Tonight and one or two other people who saw it said the same sort of thing..... Anyway, still a bit gloomy on the field , it was only a cople of weeks back the B-52 was with us ...Tragic.
