And my favorite scheme he released... gorgeous.
Yeah Chip recommends the nail polish trick to seal the edges.
Whatever it takes to keep that thing purdy is worth it.

Today was a excellent day to fly here in AZ. Went out with the Cap and she flew like a champ today. Had about 7 12 mins flights. Too bad Chip had to put some Sh... coating on this bird.

Had mine out today too. It flew great. Nice landings.... Mixed out alot of coupling when in knife edge. Caps snap roll the best and Locemavac's are ausome. I think at some point I will be recovering this plane with a superior covering Ultracoat or Monocoat. In the mean time I will fly it until the covering is gone.....

FLYBOY, dont stress about it to much, try the clear nail polish. I was able to get out with this plane Friday, Saturday & Sunday. The more I fly it the more I like it. The Saito 220 has alot to do with that. At first I was worried about the weight (just under 13Lb) its a little on the heavy side, but, it seems to fly very well even at slow speeds. Your gonna love this plane!! ....EMVIN....

Believe it or not, SFG's don't just act on behalf of KE... It also does a grat deal to cut turbulence from the wingtip and can improve other areas of flight like high alpha. We will see some more designs soon that feature these as optional attachments...

Yeah they keep the air from "leaking" off the wing tips in the direction of the wing length. So the wing tips don't stall as easy. More lift.

Skymac,
I don't think a Y.s. 1.40 would really be a good fit. I have a Moki 1.8 in mine and have the batt up under the tank to get it to Balance.
Mine weighs just over 12 lbs. My Y.S. 1.40 L will pull a 10 lb Pattern plane around ok, but not sure it could handle the extra 2 lbs.
If you are looking at it for IMAC it might be ok.
Just my $ .02. It is a nice flying plane.

Merry Christmas to you guys as well, I actually just started on my Cap X project, I just attached the ailerons to to wings. I decided to use robart hinges and it worked out well. I kind of freaked out though when I first drilled the holes into the ailerons, because I only went in a half inch or so and it went into hollow space. I used gorilla glue and it filled the back side end of the hinge nice and tight. So far, so good. And yes Patzane, I agree the thread has been quiet, but I do keep tabs on it. I'll let you guys know if I run across and problems.

Here's a question for ya. I have the Breitling paint scheme and thought about jumping ahead and applying a couple of decals. How in the heck did you guys apply them? As you know, the letters are stuck sticky side down on the paper and evenly spaced. I did get a couple of blank pieces of the paper the decals came on, is this to transfer the lettering somehow. I'm confused. What's the technique?

You should have a "clear" set that is trasnfer tape... you peel the clear tpae off the backing, and apply it to the top of the lettering decals. Press it down firmly...
When you peel it off again, the letters should stick to the clear tape....
THEN you apply it to the plane... and press tight.... then peel the tapeoff... the decals should stick to the plane because the clear tape adhesive is less powerful than that of the decals.
Of course you tape the WHOLE decla... not just a letter or two... so youcna apply the whole word in one pass and they are aligned perfectly as cut...

Gotchya, makes perfect sence now. I am assuming you still spray the area with windex or soapy water to allow the decal to be positioned first. Thanks
