andy the fuselage is 135.00 @ towerhobbies.com and with a 10 dollar discount for a purchase over 125 bucks it brings the price down to 125 bucks probably the easier way to go & with a safer feeling of structrual integrity

John,

I'm glad that the mount worked for you. And thanks for the info on the caps.

Default Nevermind....

Andy, if you check the scratch and dent portion, I think they have a fuse that is only 68 bucks.

Just went to check... figures, they sold it already...

Is anyone here running the Fuji 50 on the Patty? I know it's not the greatest engine choice but it's what I chose as my first gasser.

I would like to know if this Bisson muffler fits properly or if it hits any part of the engine mount/firewall. It is hard to tell just by looking at it without having one to try to test fit. I would like to use it because it looks better and is ready for smoke which my plane must have!! I don't like the stock muffler exhausting on the side.

Sure do! Love her to death. Peak flying season to her means flying through the remodel projects. Can't wait until finished and can put those standoffs to good use.

Is the e-mail address a person distributor or a business? I just e-mailed that address too to see if the BME 50 is available. Thanks for an alternative to Chief. I talked to Larry at Chief yesterday and asked about any near future sales on the BME. He told me because of it's popularity, they probably won't go on sale and the price with muffler is $549. Anyone else out there know any better deals for the BME 50?
Here is your post from seven months ago. Post #372 on November 3, 2002. Congratulations! What took you so long?

Congratulations 232 Cap-Tain. Just think , when it is broken in you can get up t a 500 RPM increase.

Congradulations CapTain,
I would suggest you go with a 21 or 22X8 prop for your BME. If you think it performs with a 20 inch prop, wait until you strap on a 22X8. I use the NX 22X8 from Airwild and I can't believe how my BME 50 pulls this airplane with that prop.

Does the BME 50 come with an engine mount? If not what kind do you need and how much are they?

The BME does not come with an engine mount but Hangar 9 makes a great one. The BME has mounting arms the same as your regular rc engine.

No it does not come with a mount. You need an aluminum rail mount. The best is the Hanger 9 mount at about $11.00.

Default ME TOO!!!

after having my BME...i cant imagine EVER wanting to go back to glow power...

gas is cheaper - more reliable - and sounds better...!!! (i wont even get into performance...)

add to all that - easy starting AND after almost 2 gallons...i've only messed with the low end needle - and that was only an 1/8 of a turn.

COOL!!!

Chief Aircraft, 1-877-219-4489, either talk to Larry or Dana. They advertise in Model Aviation every month and always have a two page color spread. Have fun.

I bought an RCS 180SE gas engine from them. They were very easy to deal with but the standard Fedex ground shipping was a little slow. It took almost a week to get the engine to OK from OR.

I had guessed 3 days, that is what UPS normally does. If you want it fast you may have to opt for a different shipping method unless you are close.
