Hi Paul
I had a pc-9 in the colours of the aussie display team, and it was a great model. I used it for mostly for circuit bashing, but it looked great doing aero's. I was given mine by a friend who had crash landed on his second flight. He bought another and I repaired the original.

Hi Paul
Sent u an e-mail to the PM section with the info on seagull models.
As for Oxfordshire it s in south central England, about an hour NW of London. I only live here because this is where I'm stationed with the airforce. I'm actually from Scotland. I've only seen seagull models for a couple of yrs, not sure exactly how long they have been around. As for the flying I'm lucky I have a 6500 runway to play on. And its free !!! If you are in the RAF, although we do occasionally invite people in to fly.
wotz flying like round u r neck of the woods. from what I've been reading the guys in California have problems with a**holes shooting down their models with transmitters.

Seagull models have been on sale in the UK for 3 or 4 years now. They are the cheap end of the market but are quite decent for it. I assembled and flew their Spacewalker for a friend, and have their Extra 300. No complaints about either, build quality is acceptable, and handling and flying is good. They are definitely not in the VMAR rubbish league. I would be quite happy to have another Seagull with the usual caveats about replacing the dreadful plastic clevises etc.
Dipsy, what a co-incidence, I too am originally from Scotland and many years ago was OIC of the model flying club at a very big airbase in Oxfordshire!

Hi Harry
Brize or Benson ? Actually we're not that big at benson so I'll guess Brize. I learned to fly at Romanway (behind what used to be the rover factory) using a VMAR Apache II. Built quality was poor, but it was a big stable a/c, great for circuit bashing.

I'm lucky I get to use 06, which is our disused. We have to get out the way of the police, but they are really good about us flying. In fact one of their pilots flies model jets.
I was trying to organise a jet meet last august. However one of our sgt's fell off the top of a Merlin and put himself in intensive care. My SENGO had agreed to OIC the event for me, that was until the board of enquiry. Needless to say he became a very busy man very quickly. So I had to shelf the idea, he had enough on his plate.
Which part of Sotland do u orginate from?

hello dipsy...i noticed you were online........you asked about flying here in oklahoma.........there are alot of people that fly here...i live in a town called TISHOMINGO...named after a famous indian leader in the late 1800s....population 3000....every little town around here has private airports (left over from the oil boom in 1980s)...due to oil prices dropping...people have sold their full size planes ,so the airports are not used any more...the runway at tishomingo is 3000 feet long...there are small groups of flyers in each town and we drive to other sites and fly with them....there is a club flying site at LAKE MURRAY STATE PARK in ARDMORE ,OKLHOMA that is very nice..it is about a 100 acre parcel that is leased from the state..it has a asphalt runway ,picnic area with benches for spectators..i have been flying for about 15 yrs...i too was in the air force..1972-1976....thanks for your advice
