Default Update on Creek Extra

Hey Tom,

My CG is at 4.5". I planned on moving it rearward as I got comfortable with the plane. A thought I had was that if I landed early (as I did) with a half tank of gas, that would be quite a bit of weight in the nose (until I move my tank to the CG) which would make this problem worse.

Anyway, I'll be "adjusting" the landing gear this week. I've got an 18x6W prop to replace the Mejzlik... until I make another call to DA. I had an 18x8, but sold it that day to another pilot, so I don't have another CF prop to use.

Back soon....

Mike

Ok, I went out to mess with my landing gear and some other stuff and Whaddya Know? The landing gear DOES have a right and wrong way to be installed. Can you guess which way I put mine on? You only get one guess, so think hard...........

So, I turned them around the other way. HUH? They point more forward. Not a whole lot, but enough to make a difference, I'm sure. Amazing. I'll bet that was in the instructions somewhere too.

Then, on to the pilot. I've been sans pilot all this time, and I've had one on the workbench waiting to get his wings. Here he (or she. I'm politically correct) is....

PS.

I haven't put the trim tape on.... mostly because I don't have any right now. But, other than that small detail, it'd be there.

I thought the wheel pants would be more aerodynamic mounted backward! HA!

Actually, I have already torn one off, so I just took the other one off. I'll put them back on when I get better at landing.

i was going so very slow and the plane still fluttered....
