Saito 1.25 will fly it fine. I have had a Saito 1.80 in my first one then went to the zenoah g-23 was so much more fun and cheaper to fly with the zenoah. The evo 26 is awesome since its real light and more power then the zenoah. The Saito 1.25 will be a blast with it too have fun with it they are nice flying planes.

The 120 ax is a really nice fit. Vertical is maybe not unlimited but sure is close. Today was my first flight and all was good until the motor died due to losing tank pressure. The muffler had been in a prior nose over and broke both stingers. They were JB welded back and that was where I made the mistake to use it. The stingers came loose in flight thus the tank pressure issue. I had no chance of getting in back to the runway so I landed in a field nearby. Fortunately the only damage was to the landing gear. The ply that the landing gear is mounted to is unbelievably light. It needs to be beefed up before anyone attempts to fly the Cermark.

Okay I lust looked at my instructions to see what it says. It says to balance it 1/4 inch in front of the rear cabane strut. There is a nice picture in the manual that shows this. I do not want to assume you don't know but because I would not know without the picture I will explain better. The Strut/frame work that bolts to the center of the upper wing is the cabane strut securing the wing with 2 bolts. The rear most bolt goes though this rear strut. At the leading edge of that rear strut measur 1/4 inch forward and balance there.

Well in an effort to over do everything I picked up a new OS 1.60 fx with a Pitts muffler for my Cermark Pitts. Should be somewhere between balistic and rediculous

Mr67Stang,
thanks. I also saw on another post that 1/4 inch in front to the lower wing. I need to go look at hot the rear cabane lines up with leafing edge of lower wing at the fuse side.
As far as the OS160 and Pitts muffler, the guy I picked up my Pitts from started with one in his and needed 12 oz of lead in the tail to get it to balance.

It will fly it fine its lighter then the g-23 and almost the same hp. If you own the engine all ready I would say use it if considering and gonna buy a engine I would go with the evo 26 lot lighter and more power.

18 X 8 APC but think I might switch to a 16 X 8
This was plenty of engine for a little Bipe . Def requires a new set of skills to fly but its a blast.
Keep an eye on those little 440 bolts that hold the metal wing connector brackets to the fuse. They loosened up from vibration when I was breaking in the engine. The are a royal pain in the ***** to tighten.

LOL well thats one way to do it lol. If you ever need to remove them put some fingernail polish removed on them let it soak for a while it will loosen up the red enough to remove the screws without breaking things.

I have been trying to contact Virtual Cockpits and Wright.com, are they still in buisness, I've had no luck.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Here is the finished product. The virtual cockpit from www.wrightrc.com looks great. the canopy fit just fine and all I need to do now is start it up and keep it straight down the runway...I'll get some better pics when we go out for the test flight...

I currently have Goldberg Ultimate ARF that I am planning on putting a Satio 125 in. I am planning for my next airplane to be the Cermark Pitts and am trying to only have to buy one engine for both airplanes. So my question is will the Satio 125 give the Pitts enough power to get out of trouble and will it fly the plane scale, or will it be a pig and fly like a cub? I am not into 3D flying but I am into aerobatics and IMAC type of flying. I am looking for the airplane to have enough power to be fun and responsive, I don't want it to fly like a fighter jet but I don't want to have to nurse the Pitts though maneuvers. I hope this helps you answer my question. Also this will be my first time running a four stroke. I heard that it is better to mount them upside down verse side ways, is there any trueth to this? Thank you in advance for you inpute.

IMO a Saito 125 will not be enough. Maybe a 150 or 180 for sure. Mine has a O.S. 120 AX 2 stroke and it is really good on power. The Cermark Pitts is no 3d plane but really good aerobatics with the 120 ax.
As for the inverted verses side mount my vote is for side mount. I always try to avoid inverted although 4 strokes seem to handle inverted better than 2 strokes. Fuel tank height in relation to the carb is critical in inverted engines.

Looking for advice re motor for this. Back to the sport after 20 years mortgage and kid free now! Got my hand in again with a Kyosho 60 sport and Hangar 9 pulse xt both running four strokes OS FSa 81 and FSa 56 which both run like a dream also couldn''t afford four stokes 20 years ago.
Thinking of putting in OS surpass 120 mk III and wondered if this will give sufficient power. Not looking for extreme aeorbatic performance ( age doesn''t help the reaction times and the eyes ) but will want to be able to do most basic aerobatics without being short on power.
Also Iv''e seen one question on here already but has anyone heard if virtual cockpits are still around? Iv''e sent them a couple of e mails but no replies. Any info appreciated.

Have an old 2001-ish Cermark Pitts “red” out of the box. Unfortunately no instruction manual, anyone have one available for sale. This is the model with the pull controls.
Asked Cermark and the lady didn’t know what instruction manual they had new or old. [
]
Thanks,
Mike

I have an OS 1.6 and Bisson muffler .. Never had any issues with landing gear or really anything.. I don't think I have had the bottom wing off of it in almost 3 years(I guess I should really take a look in there huh
