I'm trying to route my antenna completely inside the fuse. I have the receiver mounted under the cockpit and the antenna wire is longer than the fuse. Does anyone think there would be a reception problem if I routed the wire down one side of the fuse toward the rear and looped it 180 deg. at the rear and routed the rest of the wire along the other side of the fuse towards the front? My elevator and rudder servos are all at the rear.
Re: Spinner. If I try to use the spinner that came with this ARF, I can't tighten the prop nut. There is no room to get a wrench of any kind between the two metal supports to which the spinner is screwed on. I have a G45 gasser on this Pitts. Has anyone made some modification to this spinner or just replaced it with another make?

Clevis,
I routed my antenna forward first, then to the rear of the plane. Don't do a loop back to the front around your servos....... Not the best thing to do. I'm using a Zenoa g-45 also. You can get a prop bolt that is drilled and tapped so you can use a good grade of spinner (Vortac or True-Turn) or you can use an open end wrench to tighten the existing bolt between the two metal supports. Good luck and take heed to all the other posts about upgrades and safety changes on this bird. The 45 will make this a pretty peppy plane and you wouldn't want to lose it because you didn't do a little light reading! Let me hear how your first flight went after you are done.

Every radio equipment manufacturer I have seen strongly reccomends you NEVER try to conceal the reciever wire by cutting, rolling, or looping back through the fuse. It WILL shorten the range of the reciever. But, usually, plenty of reception will remain even if you do this; just a caution. I always play it safe.

Mine is just about finished...... I can't wait to get this done. Man it looks good ! I hope to run the engine in this weekend and then maiden flight next weekend, weather permitting. I saw the post responses regarding the antenna being mounted inside the fuselage and then inside the tube that runs the length of the fuselage. How did you resolve the matter of it bunching up at the end of the fuselage? Did you cut a hole in the end of the fuselage and pull it through? Also, any concerns with the antenna being so close to your aft servos and wiring. Just seems like a major source for interference. Also using a gas engine. I am thinking about going outside, behind the canopy and then running the antenna up to the tail.

I just lubed the wire with 3&1 oil & pushed it in the tube, it may be bunched up @ the end of the tube, I'm not sure but I haven't had any problems with reception so I'm sure it is ok.
