It's never big enough. My dad told me, when i built mine, that i should go bigger. Now i wish i would of.
Mine is 14x16, insulated, window air, and an electric oil heater. Works just fine for me in the cold, plus i have a dog door on it for the guard dog! It keeps him nice and toasty in the winter.
And the 5x10 enclosed trailer next to the shed, i picked up for $1500, just to store my dirtbikes and Harley in the winter. I figured if i was going to build another shed, i might as well just get one with wheels on it! lol

It's actually been quite warm here the past few days! Yesterday was about 32 or so, it felt so nice. Granted we are used to -20 for awhile so anything above 0 feels nice!

Yah, it's a 96" low wing stick. My dad bought it for me for xmas a couple years ago. I put a 43cc engine on it. It flies like a trainer. I have to take it apart like the pic just to get it in the bed of my truck.

Well, more progress yesterday, Door is framed, and all sheeting is up. Will get pictures up soon. Ice storm last night has caused us to be stuck in the house, everything is ice! It looks fine until you try to walk on what you think is gravel, its completely covered in ice.

hey all, sorry for the slow/no progress lately...with dad swamped with work, I with school, and with Track starting tomorrow, its only the weekends if the weather decides to be nice. Our goal now is to get at least the roof up before dad leaves the country for a few weeks. I will post updates as they happen. Stay Tuned.

NDK !! Ah, it won't be long before the "spring thaw"! Hang in there. It looks great !! Man, those pics of you guys working it the (shudder) snow was almost too much for me. It won't be long before you'll be saying, " Man, I sure wish I would've made it bigger!" I built mine 24x24 & I wish it was 30x30. Ah, the American way !!! Good luck to ya

Nice Cave! You sound like my dad and I. We have about 9 built but unflyable models. With the completion of the man cave, we will have no reason not to get them flying. The unflyable airplane that we have that i really want to get flying again is our 1/3 scale Flybaby Bipe from Balsa USA. It needs recovering. Dang covering is so expensive though! We also have about 9 or 10 flyable models. And two 1.20 size Extra 300s's that are need to be built.

My husband was always on about buying a FW-190 from our local model shop.
He went on and on, but I wouldn't give in.
I had to have a small operation to remove a benign tumour from my arm. It was done as an out-patient procedure. On our way home we passed the model shop. "Let's pop in to see what they have", said he. Of course, we came out carrying a 72" FW-190, retracts etc etc, and me thinking "How did that happen?"
It's still unstarted.
The purchase was in 1984!
Maybe when I retire......
Yes, I seem to have turned into a Goldberg collector. Still looking for that mint "Shoestring", although I probably wouldn't be able to see it now that I'm nearly a hundred years old (using New Labour counting methods and adjusting for inflation)
I have:-
3 x Goldberg Senior Falcons (2 x Mk1 and 1 x Mk2)
3 x Goldberg Falcon 56's (Mk 1, Mk 2, Mk3)
1 x Goldberg Skylark 56 (Mk 2, I think)
1 x Goldberg Extra 300
2 x Goldberg Anniversary Cubs
1 x set of Floats
1 x Premier 1/4 scale Cub with scale undercart
1 x set of Floats
2 x Precedent BiFly
1x Mick Reeves FW-190 with retracts and spinner
1x Top Flite Mustang P51-B with P51D conversion kit, about 60" span
1 x Flair SE5A
1 x Great Planes RV4
1 x Great Planes Sportster 40
All unstarted Kits
1 x Seagull 78" Edge 540 built and RTF
1 x Galaxy Models Mystic built and RTF
1 x Chris Foss Acro-Wot built and ready for the bin
1 x Ben Buckle Super 60, now 26 years old and going strong
1 x twice size KK Ladybird nearing completion (after 25 years!)
1 x KK Ranger (C/L team racer) being built from plans
Is that just sad or what?

Here are some pix of my man cave. It resides inthe mechanical room of my basement. I spend most of my free time there. Also a picture of my other man cave at the airport. A guy needs his therapy to make it through life these days!

Nope, but they come in many other colors. White/Blue (UA), White/red/blue (Delta), and blue and grey (Midwest). I fly for Skywest Airlines based out of Ohare.
