Default Brushless Reverse???

I have an F-27 C Stryker and i wanted to put that motor in the F4U Course Air (parksone). On the stryker the motor is mounted in the rear and it pushes the plane. The Course air has a motor mounted in the front and technically pulles the plane. so when i mount the stryker (push) motor on the cousre air (pull) i need the prop to spin the opposite direction

No. The motor will need to spin in the opposite direction, but the prop will still spin the same direction. You could let the motor spin the same and replace the prop with a 'pusher' prop, but this isn't necessary. Simply reverse two wires on the motor and remove the prop and reinstall it so that it still faces forward. In the front, the markings on the prop face away from the motor, with a pusher, they will face toward the motor.

The prop in this picture is a standard prop mounted facing forward, on a motor spinning clockwise. The nice thing about pushing motors. If this was a nitro engine, I would need a pusher prop because the rotation can't be changed.

Just reverse the red and black wires from the motor to the ESC and the motor will run in the opposite direction.

Isn't the motor in the Stryker an inrunner? I could be wrong about that. I do know that the motor in the corsair is an outrunner so it may not be a simple swap. Changing the motor direction is no big deal (just swap any 2 of the 3 wires) but mounting it may be another story.

If you want to hop up the Corsair, something like an E-flite 480 outrunner is a fairly easy modification.

I put this motor in mine: http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...idProduct=3886 I only had to drill two holes differently in the stock mount and add some 3mm washers to space the motor out slightly. With 20C batteries and an APC 10x7e prop, performance is outstanding. It's much better than the stock Parkzone setup.

well im pretty sure they're both outrunners its just that the stryker has a 1880kv motor and the Course air has like a 980kv motor... so the other half to the question is if the motor mounts will fit and if the 1880kv motor is too much for the course air? The reason im asking all this is because im trying to build the course air on the cheap by putting all my stryker electronics into the Course air... any sudgestions and money savers will help a lot!

I usually have these soldered onto deans plugs. The simplest way is to reverse any two from the ESC to the motor. They always just plug in (on mine anyway). You still need to reverse the prop as well. It always has to face forward.

Nope, Stryker is definitely an inrunner. Notice how the mount wraps around the outside of the motor? that wouldn't be possible with an outrunner. You can also see it here: http://parkzone.com/Products/Default...ProdID=PKZ4216

I'm sure you could devise a way to mount it on the Corsair but you'd probably need to use some sort of gear reduction so it will turn a suitable prop.

I'd go with the E-flite 480 or something like the one I linked to earlier. It is almost a drop in installation using the stock mount. There's a guy on eBay I believe who sells aluminum mounts for putting the E-flite motor on the Corsair and T-28 so that makes things even easier. Also, the Parkzone batteries will begin to show their limitations with the more powerful motor. A nice 20C, 2200mAh battery makes a lot of difference.
