Has anyone experienced issues with the belly pan on the Tower Kaos 40 ARF? I have assembled the wing, but the belly pan doesn't fit the wing?

I've had a couple of these planes and will probably make sure I always have one around. No I haven't had an issue with the belly pan fitting the wing. Will it fit better with a little sanding to make it fit better? If it's way off, just contact Tower (call and ask for cust. serv.). I'm sure they'll send you another one. I had an issue with badly warped ailerons on my last one and they immediately sent replacements. Their customer service is excellent. You'll love the Kaos, it's a great flying plane!

i had a tower kaos along with some of my flying buddies. no one had a problem with the belly pan not fitting but there were gripes about the factory covering job on it. its covered with towerkote which is fine if properly ironed on which mine was not. had to recover the fuse only after several flights. it literaly fell off. it is a great flying plane. you will really like it.

I had some trouble with the wing pan on my Kaos. I really thought it was made wrong. But it fit perfectly when I finally figured it out.
Bolt the wing into place and try to fit it that way and mark where it goes. It is just a little tricky to get it just right. I did no sanding or trimming on the assembly.
I do remember using 5 minute epoxy to attach it to the wing. And I clamped it while the glue set.
Good luck.

A friend put one together...I recall him saying that the belly pan fit was lousy...took him a bit of fiddling to get it right.
+1 on the covering and trim comming off easily

Go to the AMA magazine website Masportaviator.com and there is a full building review on the KAOS done by Frank Granelli. It's exact and deals with all of the issue that may come up.

I have an OS Wankel .30 and I'd like to use it to power a Tower Kaos .46. Will that engine provide enough power to the plane? What type of scews and other hardware do you recommend for mouning the engine mount to fire wall? My muffler does not have a nipple for pressure, do I need to pressurize the fuel tank like with a regular 2 stroke engine? If so what do I do and if not what do i do about vent line to fuel tank? ALso what Prop is best for this engine? Mabe a 10x6
