My family calls me the cave man, because my shop is in the basement, and sometimes they don't see me for hours. I think about rc all the time and it is addicting for sure. I work 2nd shift as a customer service rep and I am always on RCU. I joined a group called Fellowship of Christian Modelers www.fcm.org a group of modelers dedicated to helping modelers keep their hobby in perspective and not let it become an obsession at the expense of your family relationships. I try to keep it under control now and learn to be happy with what I have, and focus on getting better at flying.
Haha fcm.org is for magic not models!!!! Try http://www.fcmodelers.com/ !

Does your UPS driver wear NFL gear when he walks up with a big box? Mine does![sm=lol.gif]

My wife asked me one day; Me or your toy planes? My reply was "I'm sure gonna miss ya".

Dont tackle the UPSdriver! You might damage your box!

It's taken me 3 weeks to find another 4*40 kit. I found one.

I'm not sure I'd say I'm "addicted", I can quit any time I want. I'm just a little compulsive about the hobby is all. But I can quit. I just don't want too. I really could quit though.

Addicted? Me? Never. I could give up any time I choose. I have already done so several times.

Nope.

Don't get me wrong, I love Sig! But I have ordered from them before just to get an e mail saying that item was not in stock although that info was not given on their site.

Understood...I guessthe important point here is that your addiction compelled you to seek until you found...and you did!
We'll know you are truly addicted if you start the build thread the same night that you receive the kit.
BTW, what happened to your previous 4*40?
I built mine last year and it is still in good shape, except I need to add some reinforcement tri-stock to the vertical stabilizer...the vibration from flying all season broke it loose. Halfway through the season I had to add tri-stock to the bottom of the horizontal stabilizer...guess I should have reinforced the vertical stabilizer at that time too!
Oh well, add it to the list of things to repair this winter.

Hi y'all,

My name is Mody Khan, and I have been addicted to it since 1992, but owning and flying since 2005. There is no end to this hobby, I don't think so, I'm chronic addict to this hobby. 3 years in USA, still struggling to get a perm job, jobs are there but my luck has not clicked yet, still in financial constraints that's why my purchase is limited. I wanna buy couple of electrics and 90 size glow.
