using a lipo in the DX7

Ken. I can't seem to find a connector that will attach to the lipo battery. All I can find is the connector if I want to put one on a battery to plug into the tx.

I charge my LiPo's outside the TX.
Gorish
I'm still confused as to what you are looking for?
I've used these on my JR/Spektrum TX's.

As you can see in the picture it comes with a standard white balance port, and a standard RX/servo type connector.
I made the RX/Servo connector into the plug needed for my JR/Spektrums using the plug from an old battery.
As I mentioned in the prior post, about being better off with LiFe batteries... LiFe batteries can be had with the correct JR/Spektrum connectors already installed...
See: [link=http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__14076__ZIPPY_Flightmax_1800mAh_9_9V_5C_LiFePo4_T X_Pack.html]This link...[/link]
In both cases the white balance connector is used to charge the pack.
If your charger does not have a balance connector you can use one of these with any charger...

Which come with a set of these as part of the package :

Am I missing something?

Ken, I need the power tap (male) I have a turnigy 8150 charger that balances the pac as it is being charged. I just don't have the connector that will plug into the battery. The battery has a female plug on it. The tx has a male plug. I need the same thing as the one in the tx only where I can connect it to my charger/balancer. It would be like the connector that I have to charge my rx (futaba) ends. Only I want it to fit the JR small white plug that is attached to the end of the battery. This is probably clear as mud.

I don't know if this will work but HK as the battery that I have. You will see a futaba connector and a small white JR connector along with the balance connector. item # T2650.3S.1C
Sorry don't know how to do the link like opjose did.

Right, to charge that pack you should use the Balance Connector....
If your charger does not have a balance port or balance board, you can use the Equinox as I posted above.
You could also obtain a "hydra" adapter... and charge it via the Futaba plug, but I would not recommend this.
See this: [link=http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__18738__PLUG_KING_Multi_19_Mega_Charge_Plug_Adapt er_Set.html]Hydra Adapter[/link]

opjose, I hope this works
This is the charging harness I am thinking about buying.. It looks like it has the small white male plug with will charge my lipo battery that fits my dx7 I think it is the 5th one down on the right hand side.

Yes that will work, but it is NOT a good idea as you are better off using a Balance Charger.
Can't you use something like the Equinox as I mentioned above?

I guess I am having problems understanding. I have a charger that balances while the battery is charging. The balance plug is on the battery and that plugs into my charger. I needed the power tap coming from the charger to the battery. this is the charger that I have. You can see on the side of the charger where the balance taps insert. from 3cell to 8cell lipo. The second picture is the battery that I am trying to charge. notice the little white plug, that is what goes to the charger. The other white plug is the balance tap and then it has a futaba power tap on it.

You have an iMax B6 based charger that requires BOTH a balance connector and a main lead connector. ( BTW You can use an Equinox with that charger too ).
You should get the Hydra wire you indicated and plug the pack into the Futaba connector of the Hydra.
With the banana jacks plugged into the charger, plug the balance lead of the pack into the JST/XT balance board that came with your charger and charge in "balance" mode.
Many chargers permit you to charge via the balance board/lead alone, for lower battery voltages.
For higher voltages both sets of connectors are required, and the iMax B6 is a bit unusual in that it requires it always.
BTW: Does your charger have the USB port? I'm curious.

yes it does. Don't know what it if for, but it is there. I have to use both the balance tap and the power tap to charge.

The USB port can be used for Data Logging from that charger.
I have the TQ4 charger ( among others ) with four built in ports, and though the directions for it talk about the USB port, there is non on the unit.
There are several chargers based upon the iMax B6 core.
BTW: The balance connecter thingie drove me nuts at first. I thought that there was something wrong with the charger, since most of my other chargers do not require a power tap connector for balance charging.
