In the beginning I didnt know much about r/c planes so when I purchased my plane I was only concerned about the cost. Now I am slowly learning more and more about the differences in planes and the way they fly. I dont like to ask for donations, but if anyone wants to donate some extra stuff to a newbie flyer I would be eternally grateful and pay if forward when I get the chance.

Well to be honest I dont know. I am just starting out and I just bought my first plane. I have never flown rc planes before. The plane I bought was a Firebird Scout. I was told it is an ok starter plane, but does not have ailerons so it will only take me so far. I have FMS simulator to help learn also, but no transmitter to properly train. I have an old logitec gamepad which doesnt calibrate right so the sim planes pull to the left. The reason why I say "I dont know" is because I am just starting out and dont know what someone with my skill level needs to properly learn right. But if someone has an old transmitter that would work with FMS and be used as a begginer transmitter that would be great. But anything anyone feels would help a newbie would be great even if its just advice.

I'm just getting back into RC after about 10 to 15 years of absence. I may have an old Marui electric car sitting around back at my parents place in Canada. If I remember correctly it was pretty beat up, but every little bit counts. I'll give them a call and see if it or any of my old gear is still around. It might take a bit to find out since my old stuff is gonna be pretty burried. LOL

I just want to say that it's good to see such a good group of people on a message board. I just wish the car section were as welcoming. Keep up the good work guys.

Ok, recently I recieved some money for graduation and can afford to buy a transmitter. I looked on the marketplace and found 2 that I can afford. Both are around $30, which is all I have. The Futaba 4VF and the Airtronics VG400. Someone told me I should ask here and see if someone might sell me a better transmitter for the same price. If anyone is interested email me. Thanks.

Everyone,

As the creator of this thread I am in need of pics for the Pay it Forward web site. I have a temp site up and running but I need content. What I am asking for is pics of anything that you may have sent or received from this thread. It does not matter what it was, just as long as it was receieved/given via this thread

[link=http://www.rc-pif.com/]Click HERE to view the temp site[/link]. It's not much right now but these pics will help allot. Send me a PM and I'll send you the email address to send them to. Please use words "Pics for PIF" in the PM's subject as I am going to filter on them so I can keep them seperate.

how much does ken charge for one of these stickers?
Sorry that it took so long for me to get back on this. I should have pricing on the graphics in a day or so. I'm working on pricing with Bubbagates. Once the price is set I plan on giving the proceeds from sales back to the PIF in order to purchase more trainer setups in the future.

I talked to my family back home about my old rc car. Apparently my nephew came across it in the storage room and now has a new love of RC. Of course this has both a positive and a negative side. Negative being the car is not available, but positive in that my nephew will hopefully enjoy the hobby and learn about how things work.

I'll keep my eyes and ears open for anything that might help Arthur out.

Sorry to hear that. I am assuming that you need everything with the transmitter (TX, RX, battery, servos.)

No, just the transmitter. I am taking it one step at a time. I just bought a transmitter so dont worry. I bought a Futaba 4VF Skysport. Yes I know its not a computer transmitter. Everyone said to buy one, but if you dont have the money you have to settle for what you can afford. I could wait until I have saved enough, but then I will have to wait even longer to buy the reciever and servos. It would probably take me at least 6 months to save up for just the transmitter. I was just lucky someone in my family had sent me some money for graduation so I was able to buy even this one. So now that I have a transmitter, I will save for a reciever and servos.

dus10lee,
PM me your shipping address. I have 4 Futaba S3004 servos that are all yours if you want them. I will have to find them first, but I know they are around here someplace. That's the problem with having lots of "stuff", can never find what you are looking for.

I may have a Futaba receiver too, but I'm not going to make any promises. It wasn't where I store my receivers so I'll have to look around. If I do actually have it then I'll send that too.

You will have to match the crystal of the receiver that you get to that of the transmitter.

I Understand that. It may not matter anyway. I've been looking for it but I still haven't found the receiver. I may have given it away, but I'm not sure. I'll keep looking for it later on today.
