Well i'm sure you gave that cat a nice home.
Well
I'm sure glad you gave that cat a nice ehome
So many people abuse animals and it's getting to the point where I rather live in a dog pound then where I do now.
People spend so much money on booze, drugs and won't spend $40.00 to have the dog or cat fixed.
The Girls here at the local VET dip into their own pay check and have the stray dogs and cats spayed.
They then turn them loose after they check them out and give them shots.
So many cat owners drop their pets off at the Delaware River here and the poor things starve.
We had a small team that fed them and made a shelter but the people in the city of Bordentown,NJ griped about the cats digging in the trash at night.
Three of them used to ride in my car with me LOL.
I took them for a Sunday drive.
Spooky, Mousy Brown and Peaches.
Well, one day the City said we got to clean the trash up that got washed up from the storm and they pushed all that stone, tree limbs and rolled that dozer over the small cats that were under the shelter and killed all of them.
All dogs and cats want is a place to call home and be wanted and loved and some of their owners will forget to feed them, keep them outdoors in the cold and in the heat with no water and that little critter will stay because they lover their owners.
I read that early post where the person said he hated cats.~~~~<[sm=thumbs_down.gif]
For what reason?

I have one cat named Socks. When he was little he was pretty wild and loved to attack your legs when you walked by. My little girl (3) would yell at him when he attacked her and then he would come up and rub around her legs to say he's sorry. My mom calls him socks the psycho but he got sick a month ago, i think he ate a mouse that had been poisoned and nearly died. He has calmed down quite a bit and i still think he is on the mend, but now he stays really close to my wife and little girl. And now he always sleeps with us wheras before he wouldn't ever go in our bedroom. Just don't scratch his belly or you will get chewed on!! Last time i weighed him he was 22 lbs. We also had a golden retriever named Bear that just died this spring. HE was 14 year old and was shot with arthritis. He went chasing out to the field after me when i was taking out a skunk i had caught in a live trap and died of a heart attack. I have pics of him with Karlee when she was about 8 months old. She would crawl all over him pulling on his ears and tongue and he would just lay there and wag his tail loving every minute of it. He also helped her walk for the first time as she started at me took 2 steps towards bear and started to fall, he quickly moved up beside her and she grabbed his fur and got standing up again and then she took a couple more steps to mom. Bear also wouldn't let her anywhere near the grid road when she was outside. She would get about 50 feet from the road and he would keep on blocking her path and start to whine until she turned around. God help you if Karlee was scared and you were between her and bear he would even growl at me if karlee and i were playing on the grass and she would get mad at me. He also loved cats, we had 6 outdoor cats at one time and they would dog/cat pile to sleep together all the time. And when Bear went for a walk it was comical as the cats would follow along rubbing up against his legs getting in his way. My only pet peeve with bear was that he loved chewing on rocks and would always do it on the lawn. It made things pretty interesting when i wen to mow the lawn and usually very loud!! He will be missed

WOW!!
Two real sad stories.
If the can did eat a poisoned mouse then he did get some of it.
He did luck out.
I wish they ban exterminators from putting out bated food for mice.
Some cats for some reason can never be 100% nice although the'll never leave you.
A girl I knew told me her cat never purred and I told her I can get him to purr.
Well I did the for no reason at all he bit me LOL
About the dog,
When they get sick (I know it hurts) but do them a favor and put them down.
Our SAR dog died just a few days short of 1 year after the 9/11 attack.
He had so many infections from all the cuts.
The shot they give the dog didn't work so Capt. Shields held him in his arms until he passed.

i have a siamese called Simba and a black moggie called KitKat... neither of them take any notice in my hobby, but my African Grey parrot (called "Digger") fluffs up his feathers and spreads his wings out slightly when i start working on my aeroplane in the same room as him...
