You can order from Tower Hobbies and choose 2-day shipping method. Order today and you'll have your stuff this week.
If you are doing it because you're only home on Saturdays, you can ask the courier to hold the items for you so that you can pick them up.
Ups Ground and Fedex Ground does not do sat deliveries. But Fed-Ex ground HOME does do sat deliveries. Not many businesses use the Fed-ex home delivery service so you're outta luck there.

Never more than $8.99 shipping, no matter what you buy. They regularly have specials (yes, discounts off their already low prices!) and ship things very fast. They take orders 7 days a week. I don't know about Saturday delivery though, that might be extra.

For an online deal, two really good packages available here:
http://www.thundertiger4u.com/thunde...de-p-7284.html (Trainer 40T with flat bottom airfoil)
http://www.thundertiger4u.com/thunde...e-p-13247.html (Trainer 40H with semisymmetrical airfoil)
The 40T design is similar to a Hobbico Superstar, SIG LT-40, or Hangar 9 Alpha. The 40H design is similar to a Hobbico Avistar or Hangar 9 Arrow
Price $265.99 with free shipping
Airplane with engine and radio. PLUS: fuel pump, glow driver, charger, starting stick, recoil fuel tubing, and fuel cap.
Saturday delivery may be a problem. If any online seller uses FedEx it should be available for a price. I'm cheap so I use "free" shipping whenever possible and it gets here when it gets here. I've left a note for UPS to hold packages at the customer counter, typically when a signature is required, but that means I have to leave work and drive a 30 mile round trip to get the package.
This is a big change from the other thread where you mentioned buying locally. Did one of the hobby shops do something to turn you away?
I think if timing is a factor you should call Mike's, Advantage, and Roy's to see who has what in stock and go from there.

If you order all your parts and little things, it could take couple days to leave the warehouse and they have to pick and pack.
Sorry to disappoint you, but ordering on Friday for Saturday overnight is going to put a large dent in your pocket. Big enough that you can probably get a second plane for the shipping alone haha.
Why must you order Friday? Is it because that's when you're getting paid? If so then just wait the extra week for the shipping to come in, patience plays a BIG PART in this hobby.

No one is going to accept an order on Friday and get it to you the next day.
Most places that offer one day shipping may not fill the order until the next business day so in reality next day delivery is really 2 days.
If you are in such a hurry why don't you visit a hobby shop. You can take it home with you right then.

Go to JT's Hobbies in Fort Worth. They will have everything you need. It's on Camp Bowie on the West side of town. If you need directions, PM me....
Probably Just as close to Mikes (if you are referring to the Mikes in Mesquite).

2slow,
I'm not 100% sure but I think they are referring the Mike's Superstore in Carrolton.
Where exactly is JT's?? I'd sure like to have a store on that side of DFW, because Mike's is quite a long drive for me up here in Oklahoma.

Yea, you're probably right. I forgot about Carrolton.
JT's is on Camp Bowie. If you go down I35 W to Ft Worth, you will take 820 west around the western side of Ft. Worth. Just south (less than .5 mile) of the 820/I30 interchange is Camp Bowie BLVD. Take Camp Bowie about 1.5 miles East and JT's is on the North Side of the road. He has a website with some stuff, but not really an online store. You can google JTs hobbies in Fort Worth.
While you are down there, you might as well take a plane and drive on down to fly with the Thunderbirds for a day. They are in Benbrook, just a few miles south of JT's. Very nice place to fly and good people. Lot's of turbines and other high dollar planes out there. JT (owner) flies turbines and is in fact a top gun first place winner from a couple of years back.
you can also google the fort worth thunderbird RC club and find out more information on that.
Would be well worth your trip, and they always welcome AMA guests....

You'll find that most local hobby shop web sites are worthless for actual shopping. They are good to get address, store hours, and sometimes a few outdated photos or a link to a google map. I always wonder why they bother putting anything else on the sites since they do not maintain them.
2slow:
The hobby shop in Mequite used to be Mickey's A-1 Hobby. Now it's just A-1 Hobby. Mickey & June are gone and the new owner seems to be working his way out of the glow powered plane business. He is a "car guy" and is concentrating on that and small electric models.
For me, since I like glow powered planes, the new direction has removed A-1 from my list.

That's too bad. I knew Mickey's sold, and It's been a long time since I lived on that side of the metro, so I had confused the name Mikes with Mickeys. Anyway, originally JT's actually bought Mickey's, but if you say the new owner is now a car guy, then it has obviously been sold again. JT's has some cars, but he himself is huge into planes. They have a lot of consignment stuff, as well as new stuff. I almost always find what I need there, or they order it (rarely do I have to have them order it, though). It's the only hobby shop I go to. And the Thurnderbirds is a great club with a great flying site. If gas wasn't so dang high I'd have dual membership. But I digress...
