opjose,

that is exactly what i WAS going to do, but the X motor mount does not line up with either of the already in place mounting locations on the pulse 25E so that shot that idea down the drain.
Heh, so make yourself an X mount that will fit. You do not have to redo the firewall.

This is pretty easy to do with a small square of stock aluminum.

I did this for several planes, works great, only takes a few minutes.

i have an electristar and i also have a 2nd motor and esc that i have in an airboat. i'm thinking about the hobbico twinstar
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXJPH0&P=ML
should have plenty of power since it recemends 25-40 motors. i have 4 packs of the 2 cell 3200 lipo and 4 packs of the 3000 nimh's. a guy at my club has one of them, but i've never seen him fly it, should be able to check it out good to see about battery placement, if their is enough room for them or not.

An electrified Twinstar would be cool project and should make for a fairly easy conversion. The wing nacelles were designed for 4 ounce fuel tanks and should have plenty of room for batteries and speed controllers.

It's also a terrific flying sport plane by most accounts. I haven't seen one at the field for a few years now, but it's a solid trackingdesign that is aerobatic and fun to fly at high speeds if I remember.

at first i thought about e-flite's dueces wild
http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products...ProdID=EFL4550
but i can't see spending $300 on just an air frame where the twinstar is only $109. plus if the guy at my club would want to sell his to me, might even get it cheaper, and it is already put together where all i'd have to do is fit my electric motors to it. i'll be seing him tomorrow so is will find out.
