How old are you?

38. I messed with control line stuff as a kid then tried getting into RC in my early 20's but it was just too expensive for me at the time. I got back into it 5-6 years ago though now that I can enjoy it.

64 and into gas now. Started with the Cox plastic U-Controls, went to the Jr. Ringmaster, Ringmaster, Flying Wings, etc. Got into RC in the late 70's. Got out in the early 90's and back in again in '06. Selling all my glow and going gas. Gas is where it is at! Hope to be flying into my 90's. This hobby keeps you young!!

51 Going on 18, Been flying less than a year, but totally hooked! I started when I was 13 on a cox PT 19 control line plane. absolutley love flying, it is a rewarding, expensive, and sometimes frustrating hobby. One of theses days I'll learn how to properly tune these darn glow engines!!! Nothing beats flying, taked ones mind off everthing but flying. Not many other things you can do that allow that to happen. It is vey relaxing for me.

well that would be 46 hard to believe myself.
first CL plane was a COX stuka, that would be about 1971 for xmas, first RC,a kit I built Goldberg Falcon 56 about 1978, forgot about RC for a couple of decades in the 80's and 90's, been back at it for about 6yrs or so, really enjoy building as much as flying, which I don't get enough of lately.
would have to say 60 size warbirds would be my favorite type of planes to build and fly now.

59 and counting. I've been in the hobby about 8 years now for the second time around. Got started about 32 years ago, got discouraged and sold everthing. Then my son-ini-law convinced me to get back at it and try it again. Sucess ! The hobby keeps me out of bars and away from lewd women!

46 here. I've been in the hobby for three years. Like many here, I got started flying control line as a kid and then got away from planes for several years. Scale planes and warbirds was what got me back into the hobby. I also fly helicopters with an interest in scale and military birds.
One of the great things about the hobby is that it's so diverse and offers something for most anyone. I can't think of any other hobby that is so multifaceted.
Cheers! BH

Started flying u/c in 1953 with a ringmaster & veco 35. Started r/c in 1970 with a ugly stick kit & EK LOGIKTROL champion 6 channel. Helis in the 70's when the HELI-BABY was born. Have taken a couple of timeouts but have been both planes, nitro, gas, electric, and helis all my life. Love to scratch & kit build. I am now 65 and I am now flying turbines. Still work full time to pay for them. LOL Got up on the right side of the grass this morning so I think I will load up and GO FLYING!!!!!!!!

I'm 41 and havetwo kids, 5 and 7. I suppose I act like a kid myself, but I want my kids to see that life has a lot to offer at any age. No time for building so ARF or PNP is my interest. I have a Hobbico Superstar 40 and a Hobbyzone SuperCub, amd am looking for a second glow plane.

Fascinating thread
I'm 32 flying for about 3 years I'd say total. Started out on Foamies shunning glow because of the mess and cost Recently was given a rebuilt Avistar with a .35 put 38 flights on that and upgraded to a thunder tiger pro .46 now I'm up to 48 flights and burning holes in the sky with this thing (what a blast). In return I've gotten the other guy hocked on foamies (HA! TAKE THAT) now I'm looking at bigger planes. And the cost? well... I'm pretending that I'm not thinking about it I figure if i go gas it would be cheaper for me some how, haha dunno if that will work out though.

Im 33 just got back into the hobby about a year ago started in the early teens. One thing seems to be constant, when people get hooked in this hobby they seem to stick with it. [8D]

I'm near 48, look like 55, and feel 14 every time I open that next kit. Been flying for 10 years and all RC. I only need more summer now that I live in MN.
