Default Axial CG Check

Can someone tell me the best way to check Axial CG when not flying. When doing loops (inside and out) the model tends to drop one wing tip, but I can't remember which. Is there a good way to check it on the ground? I'm assuming a 1/4 oz lead affixed to one wing tip would fix this?

Lift the plane by the nose and the rear of the fuse. If I'm alone, I might put a can under the prop so when I lift the tail, the spinner rests on the can. if the plane falls to one side consistently, add weight to the opposite wingtip until it either balances, or falls equally to either side.

Once you have determined how much weight is needed, secure the weight to that side (preferably internally)

I use two large loops of twine, fishing line etc... tie over the rafters in the garage or shed. One loop goes over the prop and around the prop shaft and the other over the otail wheel assembly (if tail dragger) if it's tri cycle then I'll place a T pin at the center of the rear of the fuselage and hang to the plane upside down. Not rocket science, but thus far it has been close enough. I've seen some folks use screws in the wing tip and other folks use the sticky weight on the wings tip that need it.

What has to be said is that this "adjustment" must be at the wing tip of the side that is light. The reason I say this is because I had to correct two flyers at our field that did the co-axial balance then added weight to the fuselage on the side that would have been the light side. The point is that they added it inside of the fuselage and not at the wing-tip where it is needed.

Sounds like it probably should have never been said because it seems so obvious, but there are those that will do just that.
