The problem might be something to do with the exhaust if that is the case. The fuel is forced down the pipes by the pressure from the exhaust silencer. Try taking the exhaust off and check there is nothing blocking the gasses and also have a look at the connection on the fuel tank, maybe something impeding the pressure from there. Worth a try anyway!

I finaly got my car up and runing again i put my old cylinder head on it and disconected the line runing from the fuel tank to the exhaust its runing nice and smooth and its a little less load with the new exhaust and i can feel the extra push in the car when i accelerate.

If that is a 7.2 volt battery pack it might fry your servos and reciever. Servos and recievers are only designed to operate at 6.0 volts max.

thnx mulletman and uh yea you are right on that one but some times the companies go a little overboard on there rated top speed or the people just dont care for the car in the same way the companies car was kept and that affects it too

I have yet again changed my mind on what engine to get for my car the .12tz is to pro for me i really dont want a starter box so i decided to get a engine thats isnt as great but it has a pullstart and from a good brand here is the link of the engine http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...3&I=TL3176&P=K and the exhaust http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...3&I=LXKAJ6&P=K im getting for it and the only problem is that i need a slide carb i found this one that is the same size as it(.18)http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...3&I=LXFDK0&P=K
do any of you find any problem the only one prob i could think of would be that the carb wouldnt fit but i doudt it also tell me if you know of any better engine i picked this one because it had rear exhaust a pullstart and it had a pretty decent rpm

How about this one it will bolt right in without changing anything and is 100.00 $ cheaper.

OS engines are about the best you can get. Don't let price be your determining factor.

I was looking at that os .18 engine but it only has 32,000 rpm and the one i was looking at has 40,000 you think that will make to much of a difference?also the one i was looking at has a rear exhaust.
BTW the .12tr is discontinued
PS you guys think that carb will fit that engine?

what carb? the OS 10J?

Yes, I know the .12TR has been replaced by the TZR. but I dont plan on buying a new engine right away since I dont know how much onroad racing I will be doing next year.

Without re-locating the throttle/brake servo to work with a rotary carb it won't work. Not having the car in front of me I can't say if it can be modified to work or not.

You are only going to notice a differance in the rpm's at top speed. If you don't have a long enough straight away to run the car at top speed then it won't make a differance at all.

Is there a reason that you have to have a rear exhaust motor? There really isn't that much of a performace differance.
