Thats telling it like I and most other people would see it fella. If the warranty is THAT GOOD as you say, there would be no need nor would we still be going on about his problem and the truck would be fixed.Surely you can't you defend CEN's actions of offering to "hook him up with a good price".Thats just plain wrong.?The guy obviously doesnt have too much experience at the hobby and if thats how CEN go about helping relitively newer guys to the hobby, then its decline will be rapid. The newer people should'nt be told to buy a part and fix it,when they are'nt confident or accomplished in doing so.Not everyone who gets into this hobby wants to strip engines and nor should they feel obliged to until they're ready,if he didnt fix it properly, maybe he shouldnt have been encouraged to do so,I knew the guy was a relitive newb to the hobby. You have a very strange way of understanding what a warranty is,if thats what its worth its not worth the paper its written on,its supposed to cover "ALL" manufacturing defects, not except when its less than X amount of dollars.Thats not reaching my friend thats FACT,nor is it whining its customer rights.I had a Tmaxx 3.3 that was defective 2 tanks into the engine break in with a knackered front bearing,Traxass UK, took it back in and repaired it under warranty without any offers of good deals or any questions and at all expense to them in 15 days turnaround,it cost me nothing, not even carriage as it should'nt under warranty, that was my right as a customer buying a brand new ,warrantied product.I could have done it myself yes but why should I have to,thats the point I was making.Anyway, good on you Dogman, not many people would be as gracious as you and CEN should be paying you as you seem to do the job of customer relations on here, and their behalf, better than they do themselves.Peace guys and I hope you get it sorted soon Bearster, when right they're unbeatable,I still love my Genesis trucks....

You should've sent it back in the first place buddy,it's all very well saying that people concentrate on what should be instesd of what is.Thats bollox,I think if someone bought a 1:1 car and the clutch went after a tank of gas, they would'nt say,oh I'll buy the clutch and not get it repaired on warranty. That dog just wont hunt.We know how much Dogman loves CEN,but every company should feel obliged to put the customer first,if they're not going to repair it on warranty then ask Dogman to do it seeing he was so up for replacing your one way bearing when it was thought that was the problem Bottom line, for the amount of grief and lack of use you've had from it from new,it should've been done on warranty, period. No questions asked, this is exactly why I said it earlier on in the thread because not everyone has bottomless pockets full of money to fix a truck that should run from the box without any hassles like this,ok the dodgy tuning you can expect but premature component failure,no no no,these trucks retail for £460 thats around $900+ in the UK and that just would'nt do.This is exactly the type of thing that got CEN such a bad reputation in the UK,if that was a Losi or a Traxass truck over here,it would have been took in,repaired and sent back to you under warranty, the problem you have now with trying to repair it yourself is a void warranty as CEN could claim you damaged it yourself trying to repair it.As I said,if the aftersales care is sooo good this should've been offered to you way earlier and its not been and to add insult to injury, they have the gaul to ,hook you up with a good price, yeah right[:@].If your not a buggy/truggy racer spending 100's of dollars at a time mate they dont wanna know...End of rant....
AMEN!The truth, well spoken.I love CEN product but youre absolutely right TREMINATOR.Some of these guys feel thet CEN can do no wrong. They did me the exact same way and it ISNT always about the money and it IS about the principal of doing whats right. If you offer a warranty, then honor the darn thing[:@]

**this the joke part**Derrick yer starting to talk crazy again!!**this is the joke part**

Of course CEN can do wrong just like ANY company!!

I just dont see the point of acting like a baby over a $15 consumable part!!! Consumable Part!!

And I would say the same for ANY other product, not just CEN.

In fact, I will go even further to say that the current starter design on an engine this large needs to be redesigned to be more reliable!! The One Way Bearing that relies on friction on a smooth surface(Starter Input Shaft) to do its job in this harsh environment is not the best choice, IMO.

Like I said before if it were his motor or diffs or tranny or something like that Sure send it in!!

Well dang TRD.Whats up with the name calling? And as a matter of fact,I wasnt even talking to you or do you have your head so far up CEN ss that you couldnt see that[:@]I guess its like the old saying goes,A HURT DOG WILL HOLLER.We all like or love this sport/hobby,but you take it to another level, like OBSSESSIVE/ COMPULSIVE disorder.Lets not start the unwarranted attacks.Everyones opinion ISNT going to satisfy TRD so you might as well accept that and stop getting your bloomers in a wad everytime someone has something to say about CEN.Youre whole life revolves around toys,to the point where you will argue about it,so you need need to consider whos really acting crazy before you throw that at me.

SorryCan you find it in your heart to forgive me?I will admit,I do have a bad habbit of taking things the wrong way[&o] I thought we were better than that.I just misunderstood where you were coming fromTotally my fault.I apologize. However I do know that sometimes people use jokes to say what they really feel, but enough of this.Lets see if we can help figure out how to get these people some help,so they can enjoy what they paid forThey have a right to enjoy their trucks the same way we do.They havent even had a fair chance to see what their missing.TRD,Youre the greatest

It doesnt matter really now cause I think I am gonna have to sell the truck once I get the new parts installed! Other things have come up and need my attention more importantly. I hate to do it cause Im gonna lose so much money on this its not even funny!

Here is all the stuff I have for it..
GST 7.7 one tank gone through with all the paperwork, manuals, parts lists and everything else that it came with.
MIP on board temp guage
Ofna check valve
Nemesis front center driveshaft
trinity 5 cell rx pack
(8) Venom 2400 nimh batteries for the remote
Megatech charger for Venom and trinity batts

How much you guys think I'll be able to get for all this? I mean the truck isnt even broke in but I feel that the new parts will take care of this. Im bummed that I have to get rid of it all but other things are more important to keep. Thanks for all the help guys!

Sorry to hear that. You're almost there. Getting out, what you have in it or even very close will be a matter of luck and salesmanship. I guess ebay with a reserve of what your minimum would be. And include a very good description along with lots of angle pics. Be prepared to lose money for sure. Selling privately on a site would kind of scare me for the kind of money you're looking at. Lot of scam artists. Good luck !
