yep with your vast experience you should know hunh??

I hate bashers who really dont know!! All of those other companies have their issues too.. I admit CEN's customer service is severly lacking but most of their products are actually very good!! As with ANY company there are afew models that CEN has, need major improvements. And its the customer service that most Hobby Shops dont want to deal with, why they wont carry the products. And the word of mouth is the most important form advertising that CEN has not mastered yet. They do need improve the CS side of the company!! I have seen many who have talked trash about CEN convert once they drive one and actually handle one. Have you driven one or held it in your hands?(be careful I wil ask you questions that only someone who has held it could answer)

CEN has a different business model and the trucks are not for beginners. They require a lot of independence. Sorry for repeating my posts from above here. If you buy an RC and depend on customer service beyond manufacturing defects that come when its out of the box, then the hobby isn't for you. If you are relying on customer service to maintain and support the truck indefinitely then you will have problems indefinitely. I have heard the same rant about other manufacturers from other people. There are always a few people who don't like a manufacturer and there are a lot of supporters. Many people are happy with their CEN products. They are a little different for sure but its been working for them. Any business has a 'help the 99% and screw the 1%' mentality and its the 1% that are the loudest and that are seen the most.

Yeal: I have the truck in my in my hands and if you love the truck that much then I will be more then happy to sell you mine for $280, with the 3 ch futaba 3pm fm radio. It in good condition and if you want to ask me about the truck then ask away. I would be more then happy to answer any ?????? about the truck. Look dogman not for nothing but I know who you are and I have seeing your work and believe it or not, I feel that you do a better job on making the Cen gst7.7 or Nemesis better then Cen itself. Yet; what I don't understand is why dosn't CEN higher you instead. you do a better job thinking out the box then they do. Take for instead that Tool you made to remove the pinion gears off the clutch bell, that is the best ideal that you ever came up with, Yet is dosn't stop there the list gose on and on. Lets face it I myself have try so hard not just me alone but alot of other CEN modelest who owen the Cen monster truck as well try so hard to repersent cen product and you would think that CEN would learn and go back to the drawing broad to improve on there product but they just don't. Cen keep's going back-wards instead of going foward. Cen dose not learn at all, Its like if they don't care. It just tells me that all they see is dollar $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

Nitro-Rob: I have been in this hobby for years and I mean long enough to know what is crap and what is good. Long enough to know that when I started in this hobby they were know such thing as (ready to run) or (ready to fly) for jack sh4%#@#. I have always been a kit guy, Yet know that time has change with these models over the years you have, what we call today (ready to run) and (ready to fly). When I buy one or the other I always take them apart to inspec them because lets face it, I don't trust rtr or rtf models for nothing. Let me ask you, I believe that you owen a savage truck. Now go to your table and put the trucks side by side and look at both trucks and see which is better to work on and which is not. Now you got that out of the way. Go back to your table and look at both trucks again and see who make a better design in reliablity. That is the defferance between a manufacture who listen to there custormers and a manufacture like CEN company who dosn't. You don't have to talk bull sh$#%@ hear, the cars speak for them selfs on better quality. We can talk about this intill are face turns blue, But sooner or later you are going to see the light it just a matter of time. I do not depend on CS to work on my truck or any other vehicle I have had in the past or present. Your right about one thing, there are alot of people who do depend on the custormer service to do things for them, when they have to learn on there owen. But there are alot of people who are in need of real help and when they get a tast of manufactures like CEN who turns around and crap on them, Thats when it become's a future problem. When that happens, People are going to turn around and say screw CEN because thats just what CEN dose to there custormers. What I hate the most is when CEN die hard fans who are so freaking blinded that they would swear buy it and they know deep down in there gut they are saying I wish I never brought this CEN crap. I know I have!!!!! Plan and simple we as RC modelest are CEN boss not the other way around. If custormers have a compliant about a problem with a design that CEN dose and it turns out poor, then CEN is going to have to learn to listen to there custormers. Like it or not if we tell CEN to jump, then they better say how high, If we tell CEN to crap then they better say how much and what color. Like it or not we sign there checks, not the other way around. If you ask me people who buy CEN products are getting tired of there bull sh$%%#@ cars they are making. People work hard for there money and when they buy a RC car from CEN and they are looking foward to running on the weekends and the car craps on them that what really piss them off. You know what worse is when people do follow the instruction and the car still craps on them, believe me it has happen before that makes people even more mad. This is why people don't want to buy CEN at all. Take a look at amain hobbies they once carrie CEN products not anymore more. Take a look at towerhobbies they too once carrie CEN products not anymore more. I mean the list go's on and on. CEN is so Sorry They are a poor excuse for a company.[&o]

I have had more than 40 RC's from five different manufacturers and have done more than my share of building. I like my CEN and don't consider myself a die hard fan by any means. I do have a preference for Savages and HPI in products in general but find some of the features on my CEN pretty cool. There are points I like and don't like about all of my RC's I've had or have.

I don't agree with what you wrote above and find it to be more of a rant than rational. Experiences are different for different people. Companies do what they do for their own reasons, consumers respond in their own way, and the free market does its thing and the big wheel keeps on turning. If they go broke then the consumer has spoken. If they get along mediocrely then some consumers have spoken.

If the way they do things doesn't suit your interests stay away from their products. You don't have a right to buy a CEN product of your choice, you have a right to choose others that interest you. They have a fan base and people who support them and the masses will be a testament to their survival. I wouldn't call their fanbase fanatical or put them down because they have made their choices that are different than yours.

You know Nitro-Rob I agreed with that statement in someways, But that dosn't justified that people should let CEN get away with there action towards their custormers when people who are buying there product, are putting there company were they stand today, remember the people. Let me put it this way, if you buy food from a resturant and the food turns out to be no good. I can promise you that custormer is going to be really piss off and pick up that phone to make that compliant on the food being bad. But there is a catch to that, if buy anychance the manager happen to say, That he or she is very sorry about the food being bad, Then the custormer is willing to over look that, Yet still manage to live with that misteak because custormer do understands that sometimes things do happen. Still the custormer is willing to continue there bisness with them just as long as the resturant learns from there first misteak and is willing not to make the same misteak twice. CEN is like the story about that resturant, Only that they don't know how to learn from there misteak, They keep doing the same thing over and over again and expect people to continue buying cen products when they know that people are not going to be happy with them. You can not expect people to take there crap lying down after spending alot of money on CEN products and be happy about there nonsens. You can not tell people if you don't like CEN product and it dosen't fall in there interests just because we speak bad againts them to stay away from CEN cars if you don't like the way there cars are made. My objective is to let CEN know, You eather fall inline with others or stop doing bisness in the hobby field, You are no good in that department.[size=6]If CEN want people to buy cars from them, then they better start building better cars. You are telling CEN how to do business. They have a right to do business they way they want to and you have a right to support them or not. Going back to the restaurant analogy, some people don't like the restaurant and don't go there. Others like it and go there. The success of the restaurant depends on the balance of these two groups. If the restaurant is in business it must be supported by somebody. There is a blanket assumption in your posts that everyone doesn't like CEN and they keep buying their stuff and all people are treated badly. If you had a negative experience it may not be a general phenomena. If they are horrible and the masses spend their money there then they are just stupid. Capitalism doesn't work that way, if you are correct they will be bankrupt or are going bankrupt. You are putting words in peoples mouth and assuming they have the same experience as you. If someone says they enjoyed dealing with CEN and appreciated their support would you call them a liar because from your perspective they suck? Is there only one opinion and experience to have with this company?

Maybe they aren't doing as well as they could be because a larger percentage of people are having a bad experience with them. Its not black and white. Its not a marriage, so walk away and find a new girlfriend that does more of the things you like.

I would say lean it a little bit. Break in is brutal on plugs. The oil spewing is normal.

Oh, I get this now, he is likely referring to me reporting his personal attack post. I will gladly admit to that. I read the terms of use when I created my account. The posting didn't offend me at all but I am respecting RCU's policies of keeping poor and inappropriate behaviour out of the forums. I also report on commercial ads or ebay listings that are posted. As RCU members we are obligated to maintain the quality of the forum and I don't discriminate based on who wrote the post. A bit of fun banter is cool but we are supposed to stay on topic and there are obvious lines to not cross. Any post reported towards RCU is reviewed by them so if I am criticized for doing this then at least one other person has agreed. Unfortunately the post still exists in a quote of a subsequent post.

Don't know if anyone else has tried this, but I have enjoyed great success replacing the anchor of a muffler (which looks like it came off my K&amp;B .45 airplane engine) with a HPI torque pipe.  I've had it on for 3 season now, and it sounds AWESOME and pulls very strongly.
