Kyle,
LOL, yep, throw the shells on the floor. You get a big bucket of salted, in the shell peanuts... Don't tell anyone, but a good trick is to take a big plastic bag with you and take some home to the family. They always turn there head.

Happy flying,
Dave / Choppersrule

Happy Birthday Dave.
I have to admit that the stock 400 motor on my su-27 is around here somewhere, but the plane has a turnigy 1900 kv outrunner turning a 7x6 apc prop. It sounds like a gasser in the air. When it's right it's a hoot, but not exacyly a queit flyer. I've been told that the roar is the product of the tips of the prop breaking the speed of sound(?). I don't take it out much.

Here are a few pics of my 1st custom canopy. The last one is a small part of the advanced Heli field to be flown when my flying improves.

Tim,
Thanks for the Happy Birthday, I appreciate it. Just keep looking for the 400 motor, it'll show up somewhere.
I seriouly doubt that the roar of the plane is from the blade tip breaking the sound barrier. But you could do the math and take motor rpms' and blade length and see what the tip speed is. You know, Pie R Squared.
My HBK2 is only doing about 175 MPH, not close to the sound barrier, but can cut your finger off in a heartbeat with CF blades. Always be respectful to any plane or helicopter. I've got scares to prove it.
I'd have to hear it, in order to tell ya what it may be. But, doesn't sound right to me being as loud as you suggest..
Later, and keep 'er going,
Dave / Choppersrule

Dave, it sounds like my LHS. I used to try to help them out and send people their way. I don't do that any more, they screwed me on the HBKII. I could have ordered it from the same place that they did for $14 less[:@] And yes... all they carry is E-flite stuff.
Kyle[X(] Sweet job on the canopy! Very NICE! Great flying pad, too!
Jeff, your killing me with the pictures
Funny stuff[8D] I'm going to try to see if my son wants to try the sim again and if he likes it enough I'll have to get a vapor. I might even let my wife try again. She almost buried the Aero Commander on it's first sortie. She thought pushing down would make it go up and vise versa. I grabbed the controller at about 15 feet nose 90 degrees down.[sm=50_50.gif] Almost hit a car in the parking lot, too! I don't think either one could do much damage with a Vapor.
Tim, I wonder if it's just the prop beating the heck out of the air. I call it prop bite and it sounds kinda like a weed eater and high speed. Nothing wrong with a little noise now and then, it get's peoples attention so you get an audience
God Bless BOB's!

Jeff Michael,
I had alot of folks over tonight for my birthday. I was lucky enough to blow out all the candles. And they sang the "Happy Birthday song". That was great, I had a tear in only one eye. Thought the house was gonna catch on fire. LMAO!
Didn't have time to order the Vapor. But on the list for tomorrow after work. At my age, it takes alot longer to type messages on the forum, so you have to be patient. [sm=cry_smile.gif][sm=wink_smile.gif] Just read slower.
Sent ya a PM on the ESC stuff,
Dave / Choppersrule

Dave, I might want to hear about this" ESC" stuff as well. I flew too fight's on the HBKII tonight and I'm having the craziest problem. It will glitch after about 4 minutes of flying and then the RPM's drop. It does it on the CC 25amp and also on my E-fite 40amp. I even put my Ultimate BEC on the chopper but it still does it. It has me scratching my head. Anyone have an answer?[sm=72_72.gif]

Jay,
Dude, you're a hoot, one more cake for Dave.. That is a good one. Actually, thanks for that, it was great! I'm loving my birthday to death, getting to much attention from you guys and the family. Got phone calls all day. Oh, I think I did mention I took the day off from work to relax. Didn't work out, been busy since 8 am. Kinda a normal day really, just older.

I found out over the years, it's actually less expensive to order online. Saves a ton of gasoline at todays prices and hours of driving. Yes, you have to wait a few days. But you can always go to the TEXAS ROAD HOUSE and have a Yummy Dinner.
While you are waiting.
And BTW thanks
and God Bless,
Dave / Choppersrule

Jay,
The ESC thing to Jeff Michael was just an FYI, that his Jazz ESC was way under the limits for his Logo 10. The Jazz ESC he has is rated for 40 amps. The Logo 10 and it's motor requires an 80 amp minimum or and 85 amp. Yikes!
Concerning your crazy/glitch problem. With all you have listed. You have one of a couple troubles. Bad motor, bad servo. Now it's a process of elimination. Glitches are one of the hardest to figure out. Your 4 minute flight kinda indicates a bad motor, it doesn't have to over heat to cause harmonic interference. Neither do servos, that's why it's so hard. Take one step at a time, again process of elimination. Even a bad belt can cause interference, what a hobby. Keeps you on your toes. I've been EXTREMELY LUCK, I have never experience glitches. Oooops, yes I have, it was a bad servo.. Servos are notorious for what seems to be glitches. The will pulse and cause the heli to go whack-o. They can over heat too. My beat is the elevator servo, front one.
Let us know, God Bless,

Oh another evening flight with the Vapor....Life is good....LOL ! I bet ya can't wait ! When ya get it, I'll tell you of a few torture tweaks I've done to mine. And also I'am using my DX-7, so if ya need another stock TX that comes with it for the RTF package let me know, I can send you 2 of them. I might have my CX2 TX here in Cali with me...I'll have to check. Cause I don't use it anymore as my DX-7 is binded to the CX2, so I could mail ya that if it's here and you can bind it to the Vapor which beats the cheesy TX it comes with. Took the Vapor up again http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2UWGfee03rw Just to rub it in for ya until you get yours.
Crash ~
You'll get one, you watch....
Just think, ya can fly it around outside and tease the hawks that always seem interested in it, for a meal...Lol..

I just looked your spider up.....must'a hurt when it bit you. It's in the Tarantuila family and normally doesn't attack humans unless threatened (this is per a science document, I'm sure you beg to differ). They say it feels like a wasp sting.
