I found that heli direct has a 1000mah 15C mega battery for the same price as the 850mah 15C, I am pretty sure it is the same dimensions as the stock battery. I saw the 1000mah before i saw the 850mah. Is the 1000mah an ok battery for the Blade CX2 or is it too much to handle.

Has anybody upgraded their CX-2 with the longer shafts/shorter flybar available from bladecxpro.com? How were the results? I understand that these are just repackaged Dynam Vortex parts, is there a cheaper way to obtain these parts, and if so, does anyone have the appropriate part #s? Thanks!

Try making your own shorter flybar. Just cut it up. I used wheel collets for flybar weights. I think I ended up taking either 1/2 or 3/4 of an inch off each end and then used three wheel collets on each end. To get a flybar strike you really have to hit the controls hard. Now the CX control is more sensitive too.

I recently purchased the inner shaft from bladecxpro.com and it is infact shorter than the standard shaft on my cx2, I will not be using it, it must be only for the cx and not the cx2.

Hey guys,
I have 3 questions for you guys.
Where can I get the E-Flight Node Adaptor to work with this Charger? I looked on the link but still am not sure which one I need
Secondly, how long does it typically take you guys to charge your lipo with the stock charger? My LHS said I should be able to get a full charge in about an hour, but its been consistantly 2 hours. I've got about 5 charges on the one included lipo.
Lastly, on my throttle trim, I have to be at past halfway before I get any speed on the blades, where can I adjust this properly.
----FMA Direct CellPro 4S Balance Charger----
-Safely Charges Batteries in 50 min vs 2 hours
-Can Charge Pack Immediatly After Discharge (No cooling needed)
-Can Restore Overdischarged Packs
-Idiot Proof Automatic Charging Method
-Requires E-Flight Node Adaptor or Battery Pack Balance Node Change

Hi there,
I'm new to R/C heli's - I have some experience on planes, but not much. I am about to purchase a CX-2 as a first heli, as I like the look of the specs and ease of learning. I'm puzzled by one thing - no one mentions brushless - I've searched and not found an answer, so apologies if it's out there...
My question then is specifically, has anyone converted their CX-2 to brushless - if so what did you have to do, and what did you use (ESC's, brushless converter etc.)
If not, why not?
Cheers,
Giles

Okay, so i went to the HeliDirect ebay store, but couldnt find it, can someone point me in the right direction please? Also, I want to upgrade my motors. Can someone please just lay it down really simple for me? I want more power and a more aggressive flight. The bladecxpro videos look pretty cool, but they dont give any information on what they are. Which of the listed motors should i go with?? Or do people have a different Fav?
Thanks.
Thanks.

P.S. Would anyone speak against letting a beginner learn to fly with the alum. upgrades?? I'm ready for them, but my Fiancee may not be? What do you think?

Has anyone tried using ARC motors as a brushless upgrade?
If I remember correctly the stock motors are 37g, I'm not sure of the other specs.
Specs for the ARC's are:
Either
ARC-20-27-80
• ARC 80 watt brushless motor
• Kv: 4500, io: 0.57A (8V), Rm: 100 (mOhms)
• Weight: 29g
• 2mm Shaft
• Dimensions: 20mm x 27mm (w/o shaft)
Or
ARC-20-34-110
• ARC 110 watt brushless motor
• Kv: 3100, io: 0.46A (8V), Rm: 120 (mOhms)
• Weight: 39g
• 2mm Shaft
• Dimensions: 20mm x 34mm (w/o shaft)
They can be seen here http://www.lightflightrc.com/
Is there a way to connect a brushless controller to the 4 in 1? or convert it somehow?
Cheers,
Giles

What a great thread!
I have just started into this hobby and I would like to get the cellpro balance charger from FMA direct, what adapter do I need to get with it for the cx2 stock battery.
I could not find the " E-Flight Node Adapter"
I have on order the extreme 180 motors, police body, cf boom, aluminum swashplate, and aluminum upper and lower rotorhead.

Hello, I just bought a Blade CX2 and was wondering if a DX6 will work with it. I have a DX6 for my T-Rex and I was wondering if the DX6 was compatible with the Blade CX2. Thanks.
