Hi all,
I just purchased a CNC Main Frame for my BCX . Ok here are the problems I encountered:
1. The gears are rubbing against the Extreme Tailboom. Is that normal? Or do I need some special adapter?
2. My servos won't fit, apparently I have a BCX and not a BCX 2, so the servos won't fit right. Can I get a replacement for the upper and lower servo mount? Or do I just eat the cost and get a new frame assy for the BCX ?
3. Apparently the lower servo mount is closer to the lower gear (inner/upper M/R) than the stock plastic frame.
4. Should I just convert this thing to a BCX2?
Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.
Thanks

yep there are two different alluminum frames. You might be able to modify the cx frame for the cx2 but it would be easier to just buy a new one for the cx2 and sell the old one. I'm sure a lot of people in here will take it off your hands for a resonable price
. That or just build a new cx2. Its always fun doing that, then you can have two helicopters

I checked out parts to make it a CX2...not too bad. The only thing I really have to replace are the servos, but the Extreme tailboom still wont fit - still rubs on the gear.

It worked! All it needed was a little sanding down. I can honestly say that the new CNC aluminum frame will work with the Extereme tailboom from BTH. It just needs some sanding.

Well, right now she flies like crap. She's very hard to fly as my sevos are too large for the frame that I got. My servos are currently held by duct tape...not the most prefered method though
I'm gonna see if I can get S60 servos or the right upper/lower mount for the bird. She'll eventually fly right again one day.

OK, she flies like a champ now. I was able to reuse my old servos by holding together with duct tape and using servo tape to hold/wedge them in place. I also moved the arms two holes forward and that made a lot of difference. I also installed a shorter flybar that I got from BTH. After fine tuning and such, she flies like a very responsive helicopter. If you're at a hover and you stick it forward a little too much, it will do a nose dive. I was doing an OGE controllability check and she responds very well...too well actually for the amount of power the BXC have. It seems that she can be too responsive with not enough power to fly her out of a disaster.
