Underneith is for cosmetic purposes also possible we found out, but the a larger area that then is needed becuase of less direct airflow and more twirling air movement , causes less hover and more vibing.

Strykerman, and everyone else, be very careful of what you buy online. My first picoo z was a fake. It flew OK but to this day it marks my mind. If the heli doesn't mention silverlit in the write up it is a fake. period. If people buy up the fakes, why should silverlit pay to engineer new helis or planes? BTW, my fake is substantially poorer in build characteristics. It took a major body mod to get it to fly well. Please buy only real picoo z's. Tim

RE: PiccoZ Micro R/C heli
I just talked to my lhs. They have knock off piccos. It seems spinmaster isn't going to have any until february. They also said that the knock off flies better. I know Silverlit has asked that we not buy knock offs, but to arrange to run out of these at Christmas is insane. Tim

I just tried the forward wing as shown on the last page. It doesn't work on my picoos. Tim
Maybe I made it to the wrong dimensions. Stryker-man, can you give the dimensions? Tim

Open question. I'm trying to fly all my picoos off of one remote. I'm begining to wonder if that is feasible. Has anyone else tried it. One heli at a time by the way. I seem to be retrimming for each heli. Tim

Ok my latest spoiler setup:
3 cm 'top side'
5 cm 'downside' I now use clear plastic (weighs a little bit more then carton i used) packaging material.
Straight line from top to bottom is also about 3 cm
The wider part is in front of heli.
It is taped all the way on front side, slightly more to the right side. (So not symmetrical)
It has no room (like first foto shows) from front of heli to front of spoiler.
Spoiler is taped front and back on to 'cockpit'
I also bend my tail rotor (SEE MANUAL > AT OWN RISK) a few times, no more then 30 degrees so tail rotor point down wards (giving upward lift at the back, thus forward movement) After bending a few times it is no longer at 90 degrees angle with front side.

I have a bunch of them. Both knock offs and silverlits and they all perform flawlessly. I am happy with both of them. I got a bunch of them as gifts this holiday season. I use a small weight in the front of mine to get forward motion. They are a bunch of fun for kids. My kids love theirs and so do the cats. I let my cat bat mine down all the time and have had nothin happen to it to date. It's their favorite game......meow.

RE: PiccoZ Micro R/C heli
Hi all,
After many flights and even more crashes my PZ quit working. It would take off and then stop running at about 1/4 throttle. I had heard of problems with wear on the thrott. contacts and so I opened up the Tx for a look. I found no problems with the contacts. (I had already tried new Tx batt.s and a recharge of the Z). Testing the thrott. response with the Tx very close to the Z seemed to help somewhat. I then blew air through the body (at the power switch panel) of the PZ with a can of compressed air. This solved the problem and showed that a small cell of EPP foam had come lose inside the body and was partially blocking the Rx IR sensor. A temp. removal of the clear plastic main gear set guards allowed removal of this FO. and the PZ has worked fine since.

jaejw1, it could be worse, you could have a new aero ace. That one is 157 pages long. You could try the picco z toolbox. I'm going to try to put in a link, [link=http://www.piccoztoolbox.no-ip.org]www.piccoztoolbox.no-ip.org[/link] I'm fairly certain that that is the only "faq page" available.

rc-sport, the knock offs at my lhs have a rounded canopy. Does yours? I have genuine piccos an a modded out early model that I don't know if it was genuine or an early knock off. Just curious, Tim
