If unclejoe, ghost_rider, lov2flyrc and the rest will not lay off I will be forced to take action againt all of you. You are clearly corrupting Tracy's thread, and I will not stand idly by and watch this brazen attack on one of the last true innovators in our hobby.

Now Tracy, let me ask you this, when you meet with Hugh Hefner to go over the StarCat details, do you have to wear pajamas?

Getting back to the important stuff .. the merkin ... a google search (as suggested by Sean) yields some sbsolutely fascinating facts. did you know that you can even get a Merkin flashlight ?

How about this poor guy : http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/player...e?statsId=7394 a San Franscisco Giants player called Merkin Valdez ... heck of a name to have to live down - as if the merkin part aint graphic enough, you have to add on a surname synonymous with overloads of lubricant gushing out of a massive gash !?! Unclejoe and Todd,

You fellas have uncovered yet another series of mere coincidences in Tracy's life............Simply amazing, once again!

Could this mean that David Soul may be an undercover agent for NASA or DARPA? Or I'm I reading too much into this?

Tailwinds,

John

But what about Huggy Bear? What is his stance on the GlasCat?

Obviously from the picture I found earlier, the majority of the seed money is coming from David Hasselhoff's German bank account.

He heard the term "Kit" and got super excited.

Question...is there actually any relation between K.I.T.T. and the Cylons from Battlestar Galactica? Same red l.e.d.'s going back and forth and back and forth...

Who is going to be the Glascat test pilot?

Lee Majors or Robert Conrad? Should we post a poll?

Seanrit,

I haven't laughed so hard in so long. I did, in fact, Google it. My girlfriend fell out of the chair laughing when I showed her what I found. Doesn't get much better than that!

I don't know about the pajamas. That's a good question. I'll let you know. Meanwhile, you can check out the photos. The first one is Buzz looking at the StarCat model (before the StarJet inverted V), the second is Veronica Gamba's much younger sister on my boat, and the third is when I was doing the movie, "Weekend at Bernie's" with Marilyn Monroe's niece. That was quite the party. No, just kidding about the third one, that is me playing Bernie with Marilyn Monroe at a Halloween Party. I usually won first place $500 to $1,000 each time. Cracked everybody up all night.

Jetboy,
If enough people want me to get going on the StarJet development I can get right on it, and since I have nothing but time right now I can get it done within a couple of months. Just need the money. I will make it an external turbine for ease of use and mounting. I could follow with an internal mount version later. I will make it smaller than the StarCat, which Mark and Richard can testify is probably too large. I would seek the help of local jet guys, Charlie H. in Spokane I would like to pay you a visit and see what you have if you don't mind, Please E-mail me at [email protected] with your number, or call me at (208) 777-3123 or (208) 290-0110.

Jetboy, I will give the initial 10 StarJet customers $250 off the expected price, so that would be $650 for the first 10. A $300 deposit would be fair. If ten people want one I can get right at it and do it quickly. If the development of the full-size one for Playboy takes too much of my time than obviously I will have the money to hire a three or four person team. I may even consider having it done in a different part of the country, to get the most experienced people. If you decide you want to get together with 9 other people, send the deposits made out to DiamondStar Composites 3121 N. Alfalfa Loop Post Falls, Idaho 83854.

There is a guy in Michigan who is thinking about giving me a $50,000 advance on the lawsuit. They usually do only personal injury cases, but ours is such a good case he will probably do it. If we lose then I pay nothing back, but if (when) we win the interest rate is 5% per month. If you want to give me the deposits I can drive to Seattle and talk to Paul Allen's venture capital firm, Vulcan Ventures and probably get a no interest loan of $100,000. He has trouble just spending the money he makes on interest every day, and may even want to provide funding to develop the StarJet for Playboy.
Also, I'll make you this deal. If Playboy goes ahead with the development for use at airshows I will give the first 10 people ALL of their money back, and substantial discounts on future kits. I will also give you a ride in the full-size, and some free Playboy merchandise, and of course a personalized autographed photo from a Playmate, and you'll probably get to meet her 'cause I'll just drop into your city on our flights around the country. Also, Jetboy, I noticed you are in Stuart, Florida. Back in 1981 I flew a brand new C-172 over to the Grand Bahama and down to Nassau, then to Stuart. Spent a couple of hours there waiting for a storm to clear so I could then go up to Ft. Pierce and clear customs. That was a trip that I'll have to tell you about one of these days.

The Alfalfa Loop Post Falls post office is going to be swamped with these deposits. They'll no doubt have to hire extra postal workers.

You can't make stuff like this up, it's better than Seinfeld.

BTW I'm voting for Robert Conrad as test pilot. It will be interesting to see what happens to that skin tight jumpsuit in the presence of all those Playmates...[X(]

I think we did the "deposit" thing on the RCJets list a few years ago. I
thought we covered it very well, but I guess it did not sink in for Tracy.
So here it is, Jet guys don't do "deposits", to many other times have
companies-builders-engine companies, wanted deposits for 1st runs
and all fell short on time, and product. Tell you what, there are boat loads of
jet kits listed here on RcU, I don't see one asking for up front capitol. And
most Importantly, there product is tested and proven before it ships.
What a concept, tested, flown, proven, before shipped!!!!!!!
