Tracy,

That Starjet photo, isn't that the same photo you sent me three years ago,
and the one you had for sale here (or on ebay) years ago? you should have
had a complete model by now. Please put a ruler an re-shoot the photo,
so we can see the scale!

Also, who are these "couple" of Tracy supporters, please come forward
and collect thy prize (reservations in the wet dream club, ie-
playboy starjet wet dream fantasy).

YAHOO for Merkin (2nd on the search page, half way down)...
"Merkin" is also used to refer to a male sex-toy in the humorous novels of Tom Sharpe.

Don't look at me, I just copied it!!!!!!!!

Guys, I know a lot of what Tracey is writing sounds unbelievable, and I myself would have been questioning his credibility if I had myself directly not known otherwise, but sometimes, incredible things happen to ordinary people Leave the guy alone and give him the benefit of the doubt here. Why does everyone have to be so cruel… I guess typical of the arrogant elitist jet community here on RCU , if not in the whole country !!

As of the past few months I have been personally and very directly dealing with certain business ventures in conjunction with Playboy Enterprises, Inc. as well as their licensing division, also including a number of manufacturing vendors designing and producing Playboy brand merchandise. My involvement is mostly focused on Playboy’s online marketing and e-commerce initiatives, including a near term deployment of the new Playboy online shopping site. I had first heard of the Starjet when I saw the proposal for putting a small souvenir model into the product database which is to be pushed out on the new site. Since I am in the hobby this sparked my interest immediately ! At first I though it was just a toy, and a neat play toy at best, however this past July while in a financing and marketing meeting I directly spoke to Linda Harvard who is on charge of all of Playboys financial ventures and commitments. I was told how over $25mil has actually been set aside and budgeted for the span of the following 4 – 5 years for the funding of the full scale Starjet development, and promotional marketing. There is even talk of funding a potential air show aerobatic team, and Chandy Clanton has already indicated a committed interest in not only being a formation leader but also for a potential spread with the Starjet in a future issue of the magazine. Now here is the most amazing bit of info I have , and I might be crossing over the line here by divulging it, but Hef himself has also thrown around the idea of bringing in Burt Ruttan and his team to assist with the development and manufacture, who himself is tremendously impressed with the Starjet’s ingenious design, as well as its beautiful flowing appearance. Carol Devine has already submitted job placement offers to members of Ruttan’s team some of whom were directly involved in building Space Ship One ! wow !

I do have to say that Tracey’s Starjet is not the only aviation related venture Playboy has taken. There is already a bikini skydiving team in training for one thing, and as for actual aircraft, there are at least two other visionary designers who are also being funded to develop full scale aircraft for Playboy. I am under the understanding that Cleo Wilson over at Playboy will be holding a phone conference with Playboy board members as well as key shareholders and announcing what the official deal is with a lot of these. I also know Cleo has been very busy lately putting together a PR wire release on all this, so hopefully soon you will be seeing all this on the news, and associated entertainment channels.

I hope I do not get myself in trouble by publicly divulging this info, and actually I’m surprised Tracey has not been told to keep hush yet himself by the execs involved. There is a lot of $ and time that has been spent over the past months on this project, and I’m sure Playboy would not want to have their thunder taken away from their planned public announcements. Only reason I’m chiming in on here is because I can not longer take seeing you all unfoundedly mocking poor Tracey … isn’t that against RCU policy ? I think its time some of the culprits get banned from the site for this , especially Easytiger and David Reid ! how dare you !!

Tracey, I’m scheduled to attend the Mile High party being held at Hef’s mansion coming up this May. Hopefully I can meet you in person there ! it would be an honor !

You know, its funny you had mentioned Tom Cruise before.. it just so happens that it is through Paul Bloch his former publicist that I got to meet Christie Hefner, who in turn brought me on board with the internet ventures team !! wow ! small world !

Richard,
The aircraft in the photo is a display model of the concept. I, right now, even as I type, have the fuselage and wing center section blend for the 37% size (11 foot wingspan) in the garage. I also have the outer wings mostly complete. Just the fuselage from nose to jet exhaust is 84 inches long. I think a 36 lb. turbine would be about right. The tail boom and inverted V tail are all that is left as far as major construction goes. I have made a couple of modifications to the display model, which will be incorporated in the full-size aircraft. The fuselage was shortened slightly (will still be a two-seater), and the forward section was reattached with a slightly more "downward" angle, which looks much better, sort of like a Mig-29 profile and front view. The wings have been swept about ten degrees. I am having a local professional airbrush artist (the guy has won numerous awards at auto shows) paint it with the bunnies on the tail and I will show you photos when he is done. As soon as I get the StarCat kit out to several people then I can return to developing the StarJet for R/C turbine applications, probably the size of the Bobcat or Kingcat, or somewhere in between.
The problem in the last three years is that I have spent much of my time and money with this fight against the FAA. Basically what happened is I (we) were at towers that were being contracted out, we were supposed to transfer to other FAA facilities BEFORE a new pay system came into effect, which would have put me at Boeing Field as a GS-11, step 9, THEN in the pay conversion later my step 9 would have put me at the 90% position in the new pay band. But our Union took the FAA to court to stop the contracting (which they had no business doing) and about 5 months before we were scheduled to move a Cleveland Federal Judge stopped the program, because the FAA had not done a "cost analysis". So we were delayed 14 months. During the 14 months we were kept as GS employees, and all other controllers in the country went to the new pay system. This made sense since we were in a program "frozen" by a Federal Court. When we finally moved they should have put us at the same level as we would have been if we would have moved "on time", but instead the Union President agreed to use the wrong rule to change pay systems, putting us all at the BOTTOM of our pay band, cheating me out of $30,000 per year. So the Union and FAA agreed to violate the law, and that is what our case is about. This cheated about 28 of us, out of an average of $15,000 per year, and since the new pay system was a fixed amount of 200 million to be given to all controllers over a three year period, they just gave the rest of our raises to all other controllers in the second and third years, so they are now getting ONE DOLLAR per paycheck more!! Stolen from us and given to them. So all you need in civil court to win is preponderance of evidence, and we have 100% proof. Can you imagine, the Union action and FAA lack of action cause us to be delayed, and then because we were delayed they both agree to give us smaller pay raises than identical employees in the first three years of the program who were NOT delayed and had their pay set correctly. Bizarre, but true.

Thanks for the post. I believe the only reason they have not said anything about "keeping it quiet" is because it is still in the preliminary stages, and letting a few guys on the jet forum know about it is not going to hurt, unless you know an NBC executive who would put it on the news, which I doubt. But you never know. Maybe I should tell you the whole thing is just BS.

Oh,
By the way, I have just decided on the Lamborghini Gallardo. They will be coming into the country this spring. Way cool. Now if I can just arrange to have a C-130 deliver it to the high school reunion, since I will be coming in flying the Playboy Jet. I am in North Idaho, and the Reunion is near Dayton, Ohio. Damn logistics again.

You mention Paul Bloch, Tom Cruise's former publicist. Is there any way you can get photos of the StarJet to him to forward on to Tom? I'm sure he will see it eventually, anyway, but can't hurt to speed up the process. Thanks.

Guys, please listen

About a hour ago, I was minding my own business and was flying my Blade XP electric heli in my living room when my door bell rang. I turned my CCTV for my front entrance door and noticed couple of Indiana state troopers in front of my house. I opened the door and asked them if I could be of any assistance to them. They told me that I’ve been summoned to the airport. They threw me into the vehicle and started speeding towards the airport. During the 10 minute ride to the airport, all I could think of was that the airport must have picked the electric heli I was hovering in my living room on their radar.

As we approach the airport, I noticed an airplane on finals with the bunny mark on the tail and I said what a coincidence, I just read Tracy’s post about Hef and his bunny jet half an hour ago.

The state troopers escorted me to a VIP lounge at the airport and 15 minutes thereafter, I noticed an entourage entering the executive lounge and low and behold one of them was Hef himself.

Hef walked towards me and asked “Are you the ghost_rider?”. I replied yes
He asked me if I moderate the Jet forum on RCU, and I said “yes sir”.
He told me that he got a call from his good friend Tracy this morning about people not believing what he posted on RCU. He also told me that there was a character that was doing business with him that lives in NJ call Woj that also divulged information on a multi-million $$ business that he was about to make public.

He ordered me to logon RCU using a laptop that one of his bodyguard was caring and post this thing. He also ordered me to close this thread.

Guys, please consider this thread closed.

BTW, I just overheard his pilot ask him of their next destination and he mumbled something like “NJ to get that character called Woj”, so Woj if you have your ears on, start running for your life.

FWIW, I am resigning my position as a Jet forum moderator with immediate effect as I do not want to ever get involved in a fiasco like this.

……ghost_rider….. Signing off from Hef’s laptop at Fort Wayne International airport ………out.

Tracy,
I have to be one of the first to have the Starjet! It is the best thing I have yet seen. With all the promotion this thing will get, there is no limit to it's potential. I already know it will fly like a dream. Where can we send money to ensure we are the first to take delivery of this jem? I don't care what it costs as long as I am first but I know you will be fair. Would it be possible for you to design it to go supersonic because I like to go reeeeeeal fast?

I was sitting with my buddies at a resturant, and this cute skinny blond girl came up to me and said "are you Dave Presta?". I said yes and then continued to eat my chicken wings. She told me that she had seen me on the news flying at a jet show, and had her posse track me down so she can meet me. She had won American Idol last week and is suddenly very famous, and wanted to meet other famous people too....and since she saw me on the TV flying toy planes, she just figured I was famous. I told her that I was married and was about to have my first child, but she just responded with "Thats ok, Im not the jealouse type". With that understanding out of the way, we went back to her mansion and got naked in the hot tub while her servants kept bringing us cold beers and KY! After the night was over, I went back to the jet show and while walking up to the SuperHornet to go fly, I noticed that there was a big red bow sitting on the hatch..I opened it up and it said "for the best night of my life, this is my present to you.............Inside was a JetCat Titan with a gold housing (better then Woj's flame painted one) with diamond lined blades. She just wanted to thank me for a very special night, and for being so gentle on her first time!

Naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, I ran into Cary Underwood at Hooters when I was in LA for a pylon race! I was hangin with my buddies and one of them noticed her, so I cruised over there and sat down with her for about 15 minutes or so..she was an absolute sweethart.
Hey, at least I am providing an actual picture to support my storie!

Keep it comin Tracy, but you dont have to get into so much detail about your job as a controller and the lawsuit against the FAA...that stuff is boring. I enjoy more of the name dropping and how you met all these famous people who want to give you money and buy your private jet that hasnt flown yet....Yeah, thats the stuff I like.
Tell us about the time you were over Hef's mansion and he said that he would trade you the playmate of your choice for your supply of Pubic hairs CA'd to his scalp!.....But you declined because you had a bunch of Starjet fuses to lay up and you didnt know if you would have enough to spare.
I stayed home sick today, just so I can sit on my couch and read this all day without any interruptions.

Pilotdude 57 AKA TJ
You had best save some of your up coming windfall as you'll need the bucks to pay the lawyers ............. Reason ... The GlASScat appears to have all the looks of a""Small Aircraft Transport Systems" that was a joint effort by your Ex employer & NASA... down to the unusal horizontal Stab (inverted Vee). Discovery channel even had a show about the "SATS" a few years back. The FAA Technical & Development center has a model in the lobby its the straight stab, and is prop driven but there are artists conceptions of the inverted Vee tail & jet powered I'll shot a few pictures and post them Friday. Guess your design was copied by the US government & woketman is going to capitalize on your suggestions for the external sts tank

You mean like this?.... We are working with a company that is developing this aircraft. Forgot to mention, Tracys design is far from original.... This one has been in development for several years.
