Hey
Yeah, I know, I asked a question ages ago but no one has been on lol
Do you think you can help?
For some reason when I get it going, it stays in idle fine but as soon as I give it some acceleration it cuts out straight away.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Sounds like it may be set too lean... Back off the mixture screw a half turn and try again.
Some of us are around, just not posting a whole lot these days! lol

Thanks. I'll give that a shot.[sm=thumbs_up.gif]
I have a feeling I've already tried that but it won't hurt doing it again!

turn the spur around til you see an opening then hold the spur still and the left wheel and turn the right wheel til you see the second set screw if it is changing to late turn it anti clock wise if it is changing gear to early turn it clockwise keep turning it 1/8th of a turn till you get it right dont have the engin running when you do this

ok, new question here, i have already gone through all 154 pages and searched and didnt find anything.

are there any drivetrain/transmission parts compatible from some stronger 1/10 or 1/8 buggies such as Ofna, Kyosho that will work with the smartech winner3? its a single speed, i plan on doing a 2speed conversion later, but i keepp busting the rear trans. main pinion gear..i ordered another one, and hopefully i ordered the right one, but would like to keep from doing it again..

any help on this would be great

and it sounds like AMZK has the same problem I do..

busted rear pinion gear..locked the rear end, front tires spun, but it didnt move..

like 20-30 pages back, naturelover talked about replacing gears with some HPI stuff. Maybe search for what he did.

Dont give up and keep on tuning in very small increments until the engine runs it best but you are not running too lean. Only use 1/8 turns of the needles and most of all be patient. Your tuning is very rch, and that is why the clutch does not engage, the engine does not even turn fast nough. When your engine runs away, you overreacted and tuned too lean. Retun your needles to the factoy setting and start to lean from there again, in small increments of course.

More importantly, is your engin fully broken in? If not, you must be absolutely patient and you should always be tuning until the engine has ben fully broken in. During the period betwen after you done the initial break-in (the owner's manual's method of break-in or heat cycling, whichever you chose), up until about maybe the half gallon mark, the engine is stioll being broken in and you should be progressing from the highly rich tune to a more lener tune.
