as long as you use the dle timing sensor in place of the DA, it still would not work?
and you would have to set timing 28-30 degrees BTDC.
i switch one of my DA50's to a Rcxel ignition with no problems.

they work great....my DL(E)s run like champs with rcxcels....my brother converted his 3w157(new style) to RCXcel, he got lucky his was plug and play, all he did was swap out the ignition , and mount the correct hall sesnor, and now it runs better than ever.

An Rcexl ignition will work on any engine set up for electronic ignition, the sensor location is the only thing that needs to be worked out for proper ignition timing. For many engines that use a different proprietary ignition system it may require drilling and tapping a new hole or two as Milton mentioned, just depends on how the original ignition was timed.
To address the specific engine in the OP, it would require drilling and tapping at least one new hole. Timing should be properly re-set on any engine when replacing modules or sensors even within the same brand/manufacturer.

Very nice illustration.
Can I use the pictures on my site.
Here is some information on 3W engines
You will have to copy and paste, then put in the www.

NO REPLY...Just another way. A simple ring with magnet can be slip fit over hub. No need to tap holes in engine...and with the set-screw you can set timing in a jiffy. Can be placed on about every engine....within reason!Tapping the holes can bea mistake you will spend $$ to fix. Capt,n

Also the RCEXL twin CM6 ignition can be mounted on the DA100 engine. Same procedure as pictures for the DA50R.
Be careful wit screws supplied with the engine, not metric size. The screws to fix the sensor housing supplied with RCEXL ignition is M3 size.
Also , you must turn the diode inside the sensor housing, or test for proper work before put the retainer clip. . The magnet on the DA and DLE are reverse polarized.
Here in my country, many DA owners , ask me for a RCEXL replacement. Same performance for a fraction of money. The DA50 ignition here is 110 EUR
(about 150USD).....And you can put a RCEXL mini-tachometer on the specific wire of RCEXL ignition ..... (why DA does not give this feature ?)

I'm impressed with your ring idea. Where did you get the ring with magnet for a Rcexl ignition, etc?
