Just to clarify what you may have misunderstood. Replacement parts are shipped from VAMODEL here in Virginia for DLA engines purchased from VAMODEL. Notification to VAM and the factory is a formality based on the warrantee. To condemn a company for something when the company has not even been informed of a problem is not proper. The reason you must have your proof of purchase is to insure that you made the purchase here in the USA,from VAM and that you are the original owner of the engine and that it is still with in the 2 year warrantee period.

I have a dla32 with a 19x10 prop on a goldwing extra 300 lp and it is a beast, The plane will hover at less than 1/2 throttle and the engine runs perfect. I broke it in on a stand and tuned it to perfection before installing and I have not had to adjust anything, I put about three tanks of gas through it before the last tuning and install.
hope this helps
i bought mine off Mike at ibcinyurc.com
need any help email me at [email protected]
thanks fred

My 3 Schnauzers get calls and letters soliciting lower credit card rates too.

Steve,
I understand your dismay however, at least 5 days a week we receive email solicitations from BANK AMERICA, ORCHARD BANK, CAPITAL ONE ETC.
To make it worse we also receive automated phone solicitations from every card processor telling us they will process our card slaes cheaper. Need I go on.

i am not condemn anyone or anything, i think its a pain to contact overseas to get things straighten out here, like the DLA, no problem, some minor thing happened but are straighten out. Cant really tell if the A or E is better, the advance curve in the E Ignition does not hit my taste, that's why i am not worried about the questionable unit i received with my A
Have a great weekend

As for the major components (Cranks, Pistons, Rods, Cylinders) being any different than those readily available from the two major component suppliers in or near Zhejiang. ihave know idea</span></div>

I seem to be seeing lots of sparks flying, could it be from axes being ground?
I don't even have a gas engine, all glow for me. But I can read between the lines pretty good.
All engines will live or die by their quality, warrant support and customer service. Let the buyers determine that for themselves.
We don't need non-objective comments and complaints being offered as helpful information.
My only and last $.02

Yes some that have commented seemed to have an axe to grind but they also might just be trying to help some poor sap to NOT waste HIS/HER HARD EARNED MONEY. I have personally owned DL, DLE, and DA engines (as well as a few others) and IMHO there is a difference. Is it worth the extra money for the DA? Only the individual can answer that but it needs to hashed out as to whether some of these engines are what they are claimed to be and this forum is a great place to do that. Sometimes it's going to get heated but the truth will eventually come out. If you want the truth then sometimes you are going to have get down in the dirt and dig for it. Get a little dirt on ya.
I don't own a DLA at this point in time but I am closely watching a couple at our field. I am in the market for a 30cc and soon will make up my mind whether I will go with the DLE or the DLA (or maybe some other brand) based on my personal observations and maybe to some extent what I read on this forum depending on who wrote it. Spend a little time here in the gas forum and it quickly becomes apparent who knows what.

It is great to see the information posted on the technical aspects.
The bearing fits are especially good. It clarifies the X4 engineering standard for fitment on the shafts and housing tolerances.
Forged Billets are a good thing. and the finish honing of the cylinder woud allow for the final plating surface to follow the initial plating form.
Well done
As for axes to grind. It isn't hard to see where a person really has his alliances.

I am a DLA engine dealer and offer the DLA-32, 56, the NEW DLA-64, and the DLA-112. They are very good motors. Please visit http://www.ronshangar.com and let me know how I can help. If you are serious about the DLA-32, I will bench run it for you and place it on YouTube. I already have the DLA-64, showing the RPMs at idle and high end, and some discussion in between. My plan is to eventually include all of the DLA engines on YouTube. You can find the video under "Ronshangar". Thanks
