I've got a video for you guys if the upload would ever get done. From tonight. Flying at the private field I go to with some friends. The dl ran perfect eccept when I hit the kill switch when I was going for the dule rates. But I got it back on befor the prop stopped spinning. You gotta listen real close for me to say I hit the switch but its in there.

Thanks lou, And to all of you guys for the help. This motor is unreal. On my video you can hear my blip the throttle a whole bunch trying to get it to bog or die. It won't die or bog and the throttle response is unbelievable. On my 16.5 pound yak, thats full of fuel, Its unstoppable. It hovers at about 1/4 throttle. WOW, I love it!

Ya, i can't wait. It should be awesome.
I ordered a slimline fuel pump yesterday as i found that the one i was using for glow was not going to work. I am wondering how i should go about filtering my fuel. With my glow planes i filter before it gets into the tank. But i saw (after a search) alot of people using these cluncks that you can get at a motorcycle shop that help with foaming and filter your fuel.
The other thing i am wondering about is the prop. I really don't have the money to buy 3-4 different props. So i really wan't to know the best wood prop under 30 bucks are going to be. I have herd nothing but BAD things from zinger but positive reviews from xoar, vess, and jxf. I was looking at the JXF props that valleyviewrc sells. I can get a 22-8 JXF wood prop predrilled for the DL and shipped for $27. Anythaughts on that.
Thanks

People like the Vess 23A on the DA50, also Mezjlik 22x10 or 23x8. Good props.
I know the Mezjlik is pricey...but NICE. The Xoar props aren't too bad, behind the Vess in my opinion, but inexpensive, and perform alright.

I run the vess 23a and i get 7100 rpm on the ground. It has great breaking, I love this prop. Ihave ran Menz, Xoar, Tbm the vess is the best. I have not run the NX but i have a friend at the field that likes them.

Cam I think with your 13 pound air plane you won't be unhappy with any prop. I run a xoar and anyone I've talked to loves the xoar. It pulls hard right off idle. Aerobob said that the nx brand props are very good also. The vess has very good downline breaking. If you land on a closed in runway and if it is paved you might like the vess. I fly off of grass, and my field is big and wide open. So the big pull props are great. xoar 22x8, nx 22x8, vess 22b, would be the best for break in. I don't no about jxf props, sorry.
For the fuel filter I run an inline filter just befor the fuel dot so when I fill it with fuel it pushes anything in the filter back into the tank. And I run a fuel filter on the vent line. Trying to keep crap out of the tank.

Cambo, get yourself a Xoar 22X8 prop and I promise you'll never want to change it as long as you have the plane. You can use it as a break-in and continue to use it afterwards. You will have so much power that plane will fly like a foamy.

I'm not sure what was wrong with a JXF? my 22x8 is great for my combo. It is has about a pound more thrust than my PT plane carbon 22x8n. These are the only props I have tried on my DL-50 and I can say both are more than enough for my 14.5 lbs. wet 27% Extra 260.
I have also tried NX and Xoar on my 40cc, great props I will confirm. I have heard good things about 3W, Bolly, Menz-S, Vess.
To be honest a Zinger Pro would probably work fine on a 13 pound plane, but they are just not even in the same class as the other props. They are also noisy, seemed like the last one I ran sounded "buzzy" "whizzey" something, just didn't sound right and I didn't like it. It performed ok, but not like the NX or Xoar.
22x8 could be your permanent prop, your going to have to use "restrained" throttle no matter what. So if you fly like I do, you won't over rev it. If I open it up level it's just for a second. I only go wide open on uplines and only if the plane is going very slow, otherwise the climb speed is just insane. This kind of power puts a big smile on your face every time you fly.
Whatever prop you chose make sure you tip to tip balance and hub balance. Good Luck!

I've seen the line but haven't used them. Cambo, you're going to have a ground clearance issue with anything larger then a 22. I run a 40cc in my CAP with a 20" Xoar. I could clear 22 but I doubt 23". That main gear sits down pretty nice on landings. You'll be very happy with that 22X8. They give you plenty of power and have a great sound on down legs.

Sendtorandy, Are you talking about the "Sword" Xoar props or have they come out with another one? The Sword Xoar is not the same as a Vess. They use a ABC designation for the color but are a standard pitch series whereas the Vess does not have a set pitch except in the new small props they just came out with. Please post a link where you found those.
