I did that in 1985. Thanks for being concerned. I went on to be a warranty director for a large Motorsport manufacturer in the US for the last 10 years of my career. I always love it when people react the way you have when they have no idea of someone’s background. I have sat through product liability cases. I have sat through class action suits, I am not a lawyer but I have been through the procedure a few times. Since this has no productive end I will let you believe what you want to believe. Have a nice day.....

Well Sir, I guess we all have opinions. You have just stated yours. Nothing that I posted is bad information. Everything that I posted is factual. Everything that I posted is common knowledge for any 1st year engineering student. Its not very complex............ I am sorry that you dont agree.

Seems a rather classic case of "A little knowledge is a dangerous thing."

The other reason for problem free running is that you rev your engines well in their design range, know how to adjust them and how to cool them.

I love "qualified" answers--which exclude actual use of the product. They miss the key point -
Experience with the product.
As for lawyers -
That should help----
if the lawyer has a background (actual experience) in applications of oils -with THIS particular engine .
FWIW I have had a few of the MVVS/ Evolutions -which came with the recommended oils and that is what I used -and even with the thrashing I gave em - they continue to run well - no additional bearing clearnce (how do I know?) -easy you record and compare prop movement at TDC hot n cold and th pistons are smoothly polished in viewing occasionally when changing to another model.
The factory advice has proven to me , to be spot on.

Lawyers -like Doctors or Ditchdiggers - will take the job and charge you--IF they can actually do the job- is another matter .
Some can- some can't.
Also , some know more about the issue than you do - some don't.
Spend yer money and take yer chance---
I am not a cynic-just have had a lot of experience with good ones and --not so good ones .

I found out the problem It was I had a two line system . one going to the carb and one plugged with a plug. What was happening was the engine would build pressure in the tank and quit and run rich !! When I would take the plug out or the fule line off the carb fuel would spit all over . So I un plugged the line and have run 3 tanks fully out with no problems and the plug was perfect!!
Thanks for your help !! I guess I was just thinking nitro being this was my first gas and didn't think about the pressure !! This engine runs great would recommend to any one !!I thought I was kinda werd it had pressure in the tank !!
Thanks,Josh

Okay, Let's all settle down with the legal matters and take note of what is important here. If you are running a two-line fuel system on a gas engine you want the vent line to make 1-2 loops on top of the fuel tank and then exit out the bottom of the fuse. The line with the clunk on it goes to the carb. It has a tee in it and a line running off of the 90 degree tube that is used to fill the tank. It goes to the fuel button. See below.
