God speed to recovery. Bill always gave me good advice andmade my transision to gas easy, so I really hope he gets well and comes back to work. Everyone who runs gas in RC needs him. Prayers and best wished come with this posting. Bill. the main thing is to get well even if you decide to retire, it will be well earned - good for you.

I received a call from Terry last Thursday (26th) saying my ignition was repaired and on it's way back to me. I should probably get it today or tomorrow, but they are working on items they have. He said Bill still needs our prayers.................

The next time you attend the Show, take a look in the far southwest corner of the parking lot. You will see my club's runway ! We've been flying there for over 10 years, with the Engine Show peoples as our landlords.

I have known about the RC air strip your club has. I have often thought to go to Buckley in the fall of the year to enjoy the fall colors. I would like to bring a airplane along too. Do you guys fly much on the nice fall days? Best Regards Capt,n

In June of this year I nominated Bill Carpenter for the Carl Goldberg Vital People Award. This a AMA members award who go above and beyond to support model aviation. Erind Dobbs of the AMA is in charge of this award he can be reached at [email protected] so if you get a chance email him and tell him your story about Bill. I know he was an award winning control line pilot in his younger years. Please let Erin know all you can about Bill.
thanks Sollie Cadman ; Bills friend and fellow flier.
P.S. did get Bill out to the field on the 5th. He made three great flight with his beloved road runner before head back to the doctors.

Bill, I am very glad you got 3 flights in. I keep saying every yearI am going to get more flying....just does not happen. I am going to try harder to get out flying instead of working on every stupid thing.

Bill, retire like Antique says....enjoy life...and I wish you many more good flights. Capt,n

BCCI,
We sure are glad you are getting out to fly. Last week-end I & a friend went to a anual Fly in. We both flew our airplanes...only 16 pilots showed up to fly. There was lots of spectaters so we had to do our best to put a show on by flying! All went well, and I heard more than one person clapping after I landed! Maybe they was glad I got it down in one piece. Ha! Take Care & keep on flying. John.....Capt,n that is!

I have a question maybe one of you guys can help me with, I have a old but new M&R 100cc twin with a CH Ignition on it, Now the spark plug wires from the ignition are all rubber with a piece of ground strap that is screwed to the cyl. head, Now my question is on the back of the ign. box it says 4-00 ss OK and then initials LM. and then says sinco spark or something like that. Now this is in a 1/2 scale Pober Pixie that I am getting ready to fly and wanted to know if it would be better to run a big 4.8 v pack or can i run a A-123 pack, ?? I am worried about to much voltage in the ign.
and also the rubber boots on the plugs verses the metal ones.

any input would greatly be appreciated.

Something has happened to the smileys in the transition to the new servers.

They have a number of problems and apparently the smileys are not high on the list?

Yes, but they are not always there. It depends on which server you are on.
