Default JR 10X Programming help needed

Fellas... Just got my 10X in today and need some help with programming my Giant Scale U-Can-Do 3D.
The UCD has 4 Ail servos. What I'm trying to do (if possible) is mix in all 4 servos for regular flight but have a method whereby I can use the right side trim on the 10X to allow the flaps to raise/lower for harriers & other 3D stuff.
FYI, I'm using JR 4735 Servos all around and UCD is powered by Saito 180 swinging 18x6W APC. I've flown the heck out of the plane this summer with a 9303 but I never bothered to see if I could program it to do what I wanted. I was using a matchbox previously. Is this possible or do you fellas have any suggestions?
Thanks Guys!

Hi,
There are a number of ways to accomplish what you want.
Method 1:
The following, in my opinion, might be the simplest, but uses the left slider instead of right. I'll assume that by "side trim" you're referring to the sliders on the side of the radio.
1) Leave your ail servos on matchboxes.
2) Select code 22 (wing type) in the radio.
3) Choose the "Flaperon" option for wing type.
4) Plug right ail lead into the ail slot on the rx. Plug the left ail lead into the aux1/flap slot on the rx.
5) Select code 17 "Function select."
6) Inhibit any functions that you are not using - make sure you leave the flap function "active" if you want to use your ail. as flaps.

These steps allow you to use the left slider as the flap lever.

I had my 9303 setup like that but I wanted to be able to setup crow, flaps, etc...
I was able to program the radio successfully last night so now I have several mixes available. Now I have quadan flaps setup correctly so when the mix switch is on, all 4 surfaces (flaps and Ails) act as one... Flip that off and hit the gear/mix, I have Elev to flaps for those super tight turns,
I also have crow setup on the flaps switch that can be turned off and on...
The left slider is set to operate the flaps independently when the mixes are either on or off....
Should make for some insane 3D now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Method 2:
If your set on using the right side slider as your control, you can accomplish that through the following steps.
1) As before, leave your ail. servos on matchboxes.
2) Select code 17 - Function select - inhibit all but the aux 3 channel.
3) Plug right ail into the ail slot on the rx. Plug the left ail lead into aux 3 slot.
4) Choose any availble programable mix - codes 51 - 55.
5) Create a mix for ail to aux 3. You need to select channel 2 as master and channel 8 as slave.
6) Use +,- values to make sure the slave travel matches that of the master.
7) Press "page" twice so you get to the screen that allows to activate trim - you want ail trim to effect both ailerons - and select "incl" under the "Master" option - this ensures that the mix is active regardless of were an aileron command comes from (ie. a rudder to ail mix).
You now have functioning ailerons, but, your left ail will also move as a flap with the right side slider. Next, set a mix to tell the right ail to also move with the slider.
8) Select another available programable mix. Create a mix for aux 3 (chan 8) to ail (chan 2).
9) Use the +, - value to adjust the ail travel to match that of the left ail.
10) As before, press "page" twice so you get to the screen that allows to activate trim, but this time leave trim "off" - select "incl" under the "Master" option - this ensures that the mix is active regardless of were an aileron command comes from (ie. a rudder to ail mix).

Hope this helps, if you have any questions please feel free to pm me.
