Mine turned a Xoar 10 x 5 at: Xoar 10 x 5 Max rpm===========10,580
I was the limp screw driver guy, my wrist turned the screw driver but the blade bent and looked like a mini propeller. The shank off of a Wiha screw driver completely fills the screw slot and does not distort. Crude but effective.

This is an earlier number for the 30 and a Graupner G-Sonic 10 x 5: This was with the Wildcat 10% with 18% full syn. Graupner G-Sonic 10 x 5 Max rpm==10,901.

Rowdog, is the cam lobe surface grooved from wear or just polished? It's hard to tell just looking at the pic.
The top is the old one and has wear on the cam lobes. I ran it a few times...

Several days ago we discussed an HP engine, after several days and two false starts, it will be here by next Wednesday. I ordered the 25 with the bushed rotary valve. I know it's not a Saito but it's a four stroke glow, it should count.

An excerpt from the description.Name: bullet.gif
Views: 222
Size: 195 BytesABC ringed piston & cylinder assembly
A high silicon piston fitted with ring runs in a hard chrome plated brass sleeve precision ground to .0001 of an inch on both the inside and outside diameters.

Sure, why not?

And to think, I was feeling bad about posting on FG engines....pffft....lol

Now if you would post how much less power it makes per oz of weight, that would be fine.

That must open the door for a discussion on YS engines then?

Was that a 10-5 MA prop?
The fa30 was running a 10x6 mas ( comparatively ) narrow blade q tip don't remember the nitro % but the tip ripping prop sounded nice@10600.

Dave i cheated on the rocker pin screw head by stealing a gunsmiths screwdriver from my mates workshop, ok, it cost me a slab of emu export and a pizza. That rotary valve engine looks a bit pugly,eg real ugly, compared to a saito but i'd like to see what's inside it. Having the carb at the front would allow you to mount the engine hard back on the firewall if cg/weight is a problem.

Here is a shot of the 21's innards. Lets keep it in mind that I bought it for the fun factor/novelty factor.
Saito FA 30-s weight==9.1 oz
HP 25 fourstroke=====9.5 oz

Then I have a good number for the G-Sonic 10 x 6.

Saito FA 30-s turning a Graupner G-sonic 10 x 6 on 10% fuel.

Nothing wrong with that Dave, have fun with it, it's what the hobby is all about. Of course I took a shot at your new whizbang too, it's a Saito thread after all. For all I know that engine could be a little monster. I hope it is.

Nope, nothing wrong with the engine itself.
Having been bit by the Saito Content Police, I was having some fun of my own Dave .

In fact I kinda like funky off beat contraceptions like that spool valved thingy .

So just be quiet and we can both have fun

Jim bring your cat downunder and i'll introduce it to our dropbears....least i can do if you keep posting that two strokie.

Dave of course i love your new fourstroke and keen to see what you think as you run it in. The joke about it looking a bit fugly was a play on a famous aussie country and western singers song called " she's a super mega fugly " by kevin bloody wilson....it's easy to find on you tube, you can thank me later friend

Thanks Jim, Gary , Lonnie and Todd, If ya'll don't lean too hard on me I'll post some skinny on it. I think I'll break it in with the Wildcat since it has a little more oil. It certainly qualifies a whizbang and an off beat contraption.

Jim, I had one those gold and black engine in the 60 ,Dykes ring version and the 120 twin. I never found a suitable plane for the 120, it needed to be a locomotive engine.

Pete, I've not heard of Kevin Wilson, but have plenty of Slim Dusty and Seekers music and my dog is an Australian Sheep dog. He's fastern double barreled greased lightning.

I have the Plain Jane 30 ready for another go, I don't like that last set of numbers. I cleaned the carb thoroughly.
