My Feedback: (10)

W8ye- any idea where I could find pipes like yours for my 90TS? The 100Ti pipes are not to be had on Horizon's website. Thanks

My Feedback: (16)

These are the ones I used and they are in stock. The engine runs fine without muffler pressure

Actually the high end weedwhackers now use 4 strokes! Stihl 4-MIX for example. Most others have 4 stroke available also. I have three Ryobi 4 stroke whacker engines to be converted. Not the equal of Saito of course; I have the 120 ABC and the 180.

I have a Ryobi 4 stroke gas (no oil-gas mixing) engine that is waiting for conversion one day. It is a fine engine. It was easy to start and would run forever. I used to run it 4-5 hours a day clearing some property. The only thing about it was that you had to start it exactly the way Ryobi said. If you changed anything in the priming sequence it would be hard to start.

I was just looking on the Horizon Hobby web site for the newer engine codes...and I notice they are not listed on Horizon's list of Saito engine codes. I'm referring to codes "AR" and "AS", which I found after some searching, refer to the Saito gas models AR=FG-20B (125 size gas) and AS=FG-14B (82 size gas). The list on Horizon only goes up as far as "AP" which is the FA-72CL.
Any pointers on where to find the most up to date list of engine codes? Having the engine codes makes it much easier to search the Horizon web site.

There's a lot of things on the Horizon site besides Saito that is not up to date anymore?
I know most about Saito discrepancies because that is my major interest but I see it in other areas too.
There is nothing that you or I say is going to change Horizon. I guess we will just have to try to keep up with the problems and live with it?
In the last 5 years they have gone through four different software companies for their on line website and I think the best one was about 5 years ago.
They are better this year on the data base with key words than they have been the couple years before that.
The problem is . . . that the people that we interface with at Horizon are as powerless as we are to do anything about it.

Just bought a brand new 82B. It is my first 4 stroke and it is going in a Sig Astro Hog that is currently on the building board. I can't wait to see how they go together.
It may be a long winter.
Good thing the Hog looks like it will take me a while.
Cheers
Gord

Bob,
I'm sure the moderator will see your post and give you a number soon.
This is a pretty busy forum, and sometimes a post or two or three get missed.
No offense intended and thanks for your patience.
Also, you don't need a number to participate in the forum...and we're glad you're here!

Hi guys yet again, Concerning those muffler fittings, the latest copy of our OZ magazine Airborne features in the new products column a set of Saito right angle fittings that screw straight into the cylinder to mount your mufflers or flex pipes to. Don't know the part number (but I'll try to get them) or cost but you might like to contact Hobby Head Quarters here in OZ (they have a website) for further info.
Re the Club Saito thing I am still trying for a number but on the flip side still manage to post without one.
I am looking at buying the rest of the gas range that I don't own (FG14 and FG30) but the strength of the Aussie peso at present means I am sending money to the USA to buy all those goodies that were "expensive" before
For the record I currently own in the Saito range at 30, 50, 56, 62, 2 x 65's, FG20 and FG36. I also have Enya, YS and OS fourstrokes plus a load of diesels and 2 strokes but prefer to use 4 strokes and now leaning to the petrol engines for scale applications.

The right angle adaptors I refer to are "new items" We are sometimes behind the rest of you when it comes to goodies but to clarify they are not like the ones on the twin shown just a few posts ago but more like a right angled hydraulic pipe fitting and apparently working ok

I have RC Specialties right angle adpters also and they work even better than the Saito ones.
There are pictures of a Saito 90TS somewhere around here using RC Specialties right angles adpters and mufflers that belongs to Hobbsy
