Default Axe CP Main Blade Installation

Hello All:

I broke both blade grips and replace them but here is my problem. The heli works but the blade grips are 180 degrees off in that the bottom where the nut goes is on top and I have to enter the screw from the bottom. The links does not work otherwise but it flies I just don't understand. I know the screw should enter from on top goes through the main rotor blade and is secured by the nut at the under side of the blade grip. Can anyone tell me what I did wrong when I replace both blade grips and how to fix it? Thanks - Busha

This is just how they made the grips, Everyone's is like this. Just push the screw into the hole that's supposed to be the top and thread the screw in the hole where the nut is supposed to fit. It doesn't effect the performance of the heli at all. Just a manufacturing error by the company. every set of grips are like that that are the OEM replacements..

Thanks HelisRule and Revo Rash for the info you have confirmed that my repair was correct and returned my sanity. I was going crazy there for a while. Thanks again! Busha.

You can fit the nut and bolt on the right way if you want to. If you angle the nut in the in the hole and then push it in it will stay in even when the lag bolt is removed through the top. Both my Axes are setup this way.

Busha , I was very confused with the same issue,,, I find it weird that they would build it this way ,,
one thing is nice about building it this way is that the nut stays in the holder when you change the blades...

One other comment,, I am a newbe in the heli hobby ,, I was told this Axe Cp can be used indoors
say in the living room or family room , I find it way too squirly to fly in my house without getting real
nervous about hitting somthing.....

Brad,,,

Yup! Garage, maybe if you can keep a hover within 4'. Forward flight might present a problem, tho...[X(]
