My first rc purchase was the Axe CPV3,it would never act right,no matter what I did, after a crash,I took it to a LHS repair center, they "fixed" the damage for about $38.00,not bad I thought, but when I got it flying again,it was a wild bird indeed, just as before,so I searched around, found out about hobbyservices and sent in the heli, after 2 weeks I had a brand new CPV3 with the note saying the 3in1 was defective,so it was better for them to just warrenty the whole thing. If I had it to do again,I would never have bought the CPV3,I order the Esky CP v2,I have a feeling that will be a more stable friend with my Walkera HM53Q heli, which is a good flyer as well as a GREAT shelf filler,I am learning that this can be an expensive, hobby wont be proper here,so I will use the word "undertaking",but hey ,call me demented, even the crashes can be funny......................gotta love em....................
Just the thought of one single not tooo well adjusted person...............
Photo is of the Walkera HM53Q...........

I agree, the electronics in the cpv3 are junk but, if you must replace the e board try [link=http://www.hobbywarehouse.com/Products/EFLH1200-E-Flite-Blade-CX/HMXM2003-Heli-max-E-Board-Axe-CP?cvsfa=1414&cvsfe=2&cvsfp=HMXHMXM2003-GP]here[/link]

wow i can't belive it on heli max axe cp c3 helicopter problems. i'm new to the chopper and all i had was problems. i spent more money then what i paid for it and still didn't have a good flyght now i thik its junk. someone said thay replaced the tail motor and the e- board fryed and i just replaced my tail boom so i hade to resauder the wires and now my tail motor wont work even though i says i have 6.37 volts comeing out of it. so is it the motor or e-board.... i'm tired of spinding money on this chopper mayde i need to go to another brand. i allredy baught a e-bord earlyer and at about 80.00 dallers i don't want to do this agine. thanks what i read on coments about this helicopter.

I bought an Axe CP three years ago and I was never able to fly it. I thought it was me
But I will convert the bird into something flyable I remember someone plugged a Honey Bee King tail to it

I read somewhere where someone rotated the tail 180 deg and revirsed the wiring to cause the tail rotor to blow across the motor to keep it cool.

Anybody with more info?

Interesting. I may try that too.

I flipped the tail motor to increase cooling. Found the "press on" tail rotor would pull itself off the motor. I'm sure you could get the prop to stay on with glue, but I had a brushless system ready with a HH gyro and installed that.

Toolmaker59, if your tail motor doesn't work, try removing it and applying a 1.5 volt battery to it to test it. If it works, then you know your eboard is fried. Usually the eboard goes up in smoke if the wires going to the tail motor are somehow touching each other. Check the wiring.
